  2. The Lexus IS F is quite a rare car, so there aren't many of them on the roads. In New South Wales, there are probably a small number of these cars. It's difficult to give an exact number, as it can change over time due to sales, purchases, and cars going out of service. You could try contacting local car clubs or forums; someone there might have more information about the number of IS F's in your area.

  5. Ive got a 2013 Lexus IS 300H and I've got this issue after replacing my disc rotors and brake pads...Still squeeling. Its embarassing, driving a nice car like that and it makes noise like an older vechile. This thread has actually helped me discover its not just me, but appears to be a Lexus thing and whats the end solution...After market brake pads?
  6. My new to me 08 imported ISF grade 4.5B with 70k's on the clock. At some stage I will correct the wheel direction 😄
  7. Thanks sounds like a good idea, I also like that its still in a way oem. As these cars are pretty rare, any ideas on where to source some good second hand stuff? Also is there anything I need to be aware of (extra parts required) when putting 12+ suspension into an 08. When it comes time perhaps I should be swapping other components in the suspension so its more like a 12+ handing wise ?
  8. My 1999 LS400 ECU will not communicate with diagnostic readers. I have replaced all ECU capacitors and a couple of resistors without any success. Four different auto electricians have connected various devices both to the engine bay port and the under dash OBD2 port without a result. One theory is that Toyota used a modified code for non US Lexus sedans around 1999 which only allows Toyota readers of that period to talk to it. Apparently in 2000 they reverted to standard OBD2 protocol again. Anyone else having the same problem or found a work around? Gabriel O.

  12. Hey there first ever post and new to the wonderful world of Lexus. I am looking at purchasing a LBX Sports Luxury and was wondering if Lexus have genuine accessories fitted at the dealer. I am interested in factory mudflaps and floor mats. Any help would be appreciated 👍
  13. Hi Everyone, So after many (some would say TOO many) years of owning a Holden (VX Calais with the L67), I'm going to be buying an IS350 F soon. Currently doing my research and checking out what is around - just waiting on finalisation of a house sale then will be ready to buy! I'll read up as much as I can first, and will be sure to post up when I've finally bought. Cheers! Tim
  14. Hi all first time poster here. I have had my new ISF for about a month and I am loving it. But the roads around where I live are terrible like most of Victoria I guess. So I am finding the ISF a little on the firm side. Years ago I had a R33 GTS-T with Bilstein shocks and whitelines springs. Its been a long time but I swear it rode better than the 08 ISF. I am not fussed about lowering, it may a slight bit in the front. Its not a massive issue but something I intend to fix in the future. The car currently has 70k so I am thinking sooner rather than later the shocks may be getting past there best. I am happy with the cars handling ability. I don't plan on tracking the car, but do intend on a few spirited runs through the twists and turns through the mountains, but certainly nothing crazy. So id like not to sacrifice the handling but improving it isnt the main goal either. I have been researching forums and it seems 08 suspension is on the firm side for many. Some are saying its under sprung and over damped others say its not. Most info is from the states and of course there are far more options over there. BC coilovers seems to be a popular options. But there is a lot of chatter about spring rates 10kg 14kg or 12kg 16kg. I see mixed results some saying it made a massive difference, some say it doesn't. But also some are lowering there car a lot at the same time. Its hard to read between the lines. Swift spring upgrade seems popular but again not an option here. HKS hypermax type S. Is another more costly option, but can they be sourced locally? warantys etc. Keeping the stock suspension and going for Bilstein shocks another option but again these need to be imported. 2012+ suspension said to be more compliant but seems very expensive. What are people running? and are you finding your car more complaint than stock? Are there some good suspension specialists in Melbourne to speak to?

  16. Video My mechanic says it's normal in a chain driven engine but I'm not convinced. It's just annoying more than anything. I recently changed the engine belt as well but it doesn't seem to help either
