Hi all,
Recently sold my trusty IS250 and thanks to the crazy used car market atm I got the same as what I paid for it 6 years ago.
Anyway, was always going to get another Lexus but it had to have more power than the old 2.5L 4GR-FSE so I grabbed one with a couple of extra cylinders.
Very happy with the decision.
We purchased our first Lexus last November. RCF 2014 model. We have owned BMWs for the last 20 years but not anymore. We became weary of the repair costs, and they are more expensive to maintain as the years roll on. We searched for a performance vehicle from Japan and came up with the RCF. After owning this vehicle for a few months and putting it through its paces on isolated country roads, there is no comparison with BMW in performance and finish. Having four wheel steering is a winner. The RCF is becoming more affordable as they get older, and with Toyota's reliability you can't go wrong.

I burnt to an DVD-R DL (Dual Layer.)
Works a treat so far (1 day) in my Is350 2012
EDIT:
See my post 5 more down this page for single DVD with OZ only maps.
Hit thanks if it is ok ๐
Hi all (again)
After a decade of Euro cars, last night I took delivery of an ISF ... kind of an impulse purchase last weekend after negotiation went well ๐
Its nice to have logical push buttons and the old skool feel! the entertainment / UX is very outdated compared to what I was used to, but hey thats not why it was purchased.
The V8 ROAR kicks in at 5000rpm. Good gosh!! Anything before that is just a heavy breathing Camry!
also new plates on order. Decided I didnt want 15FLEX, so I opted for 15FINL
looking forward to learning about the car with other ISF enthusiast!
i haventered ordered
but i nearly sold my tesla model 3 performance for one
its a bloody good car
its the front end that gets me
its very wrong looking
Hi all
Steve from SA - total newb picking up my 2011 IS250 next Saturday from Melbourne. 88,000 kms with great service history too.
Previous vehicle was a 2013 Ford Focus ST - now deceased (written off) when I collided with a Harley. ๐ค I do prefer a sporty manual - but the wife's not so good with manuals; so the best family compromise - in my price range; is the gorgeous IS250.
Looking forward to the Lexus - LOVE all the features - and read about awesome reliability too!
Cheers
Steve
I didn't have to change my rear pads until after 100,000km. Fronts were around 60,000km from memory.
Surprised you machined the front discs. There is only 2mm of wear available on those before they need replacing (28mm new, 26mm due for replacement). Those only last me around 20,000km.
Hi all,
I just purchased a 2012 GS350 drives wonderfully and there was no present rattles for the first two weeks of ownership.
All of a sudden I start hearing a clicky rattle sound coming between the sunroof and headliner near the overhead console.
The rattle becomes quite present when playing music with a bit of bass as the mark Levinson subwoofer is quite powerful.
Below is 3 YouTube video I uploaded on what the rattle sounds like, I'm tapping on the headliner and the rattle can be heard.
Hope someone might know what the problem is, hope its nothing major or expensive.
(Best to use headphones to hear the noise clearly)
