  1. H, I do not know as the car only lasted 2 weeks until i put them on. I was told it was normal!!
  2. Hi, the front tyres seem to wear even, except for the outside 1 inch which wears first. I have the RR Racing USRS installed. The rears seem even across tread width.
  3. Hi, I have not changed sizes but I use Bridgestone RE71r's for track days. I would use on street but i only get approx 16k on the front from the Michelin's now!
  4. Hi All, It was great to meet a few of you yesterday. What a day! My brakes were flawless. I found i could brake very late and hard and they were just flawless all day. They were quiet during the track sessions and are also silent back on the street with the same pads. I am happy!

  6. That would be good. I used DBA T2 (Remsa pads) on my IS250 and they lasted very well. As more options become available the pricing will get better.
  7. EXPENSIVE!! All up brakes were approx $5,200 fitted (well I fitted anyway). Brakes: US$3,000 (that included colder spark plugs about US$80) Customs: $567.61 Freight: US$310 They should last a lot longer than OEM. Well i hope so. Don't want to do this ever 2 years! So far worth it though. Just for looks :) Note: Only my front discs were gone. Rears were hardly worn.
  8. I will update you all after 19th. I have also sourced Castrol SRF brake fluid, so will flush the lines next week. The MX72 pads seems ok at this time. I only drive normal! around the streets so have not had to test them yet. No noise yet and very solid pedal feel.
  9. I attended the Lexus Australia test day yesterday as SMP. Unfortunately i have to wait till 19th to test the brakes. I got to drive the LC500, LC500h and GSF around the track. They are all great cars. I thought i was going ok but then Tony (race car driver) took me for a few hot laps in the LC500. WOW I are not even close to the limits of my car. I use to rub chicanes, he just goes over them completely, and sideways through corners! You can be so much more aggressive than I am. Then again, I think he could go through a set of tires very very quickly. I will update after 19th July to let you know how brakes go. Stainless Steel brake lines should be here Monday and then Castrol SRF oil will be flushed through. I have to stop spending money. My wife will eventually notice!

  11. Thanks, Look forward to seeing you at the Track day. I have stainless steel lines coming this week I hope. I was told our lines from factory are very good, but I am just having fun replacing parts!! I also just picked up a 360 Fly for some fun footage. Will be testing it in the next few days. I am attending Lexus Track day Thursday this week so will get to test all F cars and new LC.
  12. Thanks. I personally think I have enough power. (Most may not agree though!) I still have a healthy respect for the car on the track. It was fun to actually get to work on a car again. It had been a while. Now have to look at suspension next and then exhaust!
  13. Hi All, I thought I would post into the ISF page as the RC page is fairly quite (dead!). I have just completed my RCF brake upgrade last week. I thought I would let you guys know as some may be interested when time comes for the ISF's. I decided to replace with RR-Racing Competition 2 Piece Slotted Rotors front and rear, with Endless MX72 pads front and rear. They went onto the car without any issues and fitted perfectly. A big thanks to Lexus of Chatswood for checking my work after I had completed. These guys do really look after me very well. I think the brakes look great and they are noise free. I have now completed about 1000km so far and they are still quite. I have not stomped on them yet! A big test will be a track day in July so hopefully they perform as good as they look. I have included 2 quick photos of before and after. My modifications to date are now: 1. RR-Racing Air/Oil Separator 2. RR-Racing USRS 3. RR-Racing Competition 2 Piece Slotted Rotors 4. NGK One Step Colder Spark Plugs - to be fitted
  14. Hi All, I have completed my brake replacement/upgrade. I now have installed RR-Racing Competition 2 Piece Slotted Rotors front and rear.   15. Hi, here is what i have found so far. 1. OEM = approx US$2,000 delivered 2. Figs = approx US$3,100 delivered This included 2 piece discs, ET500 pads (Street), Castrol SRF, SS lines. I also opted for extra RB XR70 pads for track days(US$300). Should last >5 times longer than OEM and look cool!! 3. RR-Racing = approx = US$3,200 This includes discs and Endless MX72 pads for street/track. I was looking at Figs as the specs showed 34mm discs as apposed to 32mm for rr-racing. Let me know how you go with Brakes Direct please?
  16. Hi, I am currently investigating as well. From what I have found so far is: 1. OEM 2. FIGS Engineering 3. RR Racing I am tending towards FIGS at the moment. Need to decide this week. BTW how many KM have you done on the originals?
  17. I would have no issues with 2nd hand or demo. They are built so well. I was initially looking for a ISF. Just thought the RCF was just perfect. Just keep looking for what you want. I went Starlight Black, black interior. There are some nice ones available I have seen online. I also went the extended warranty so covered for 7 years.
  18. Hi, I have had mine for about 8 weeks now. It gives me a buzz every time I drive it. Which is as often as possible. Happy to do any shopping, pickups etc just to get a drive!! Have done over 3000 km now and am going to try to get as many kms as possible till I cant drive any more. Just enjoy the experience and you will be rewarded. Sorry no help from me other than do it!!

    Hi Johnmic, how are you finding the RCF? I picked up mine last week and am just loving it. Can't help but smile every time I get into it. It was a nice step up from my IS250!

  23. Slotted rotors should wear pads slightly quicker for normal driving. Track driving I believe should wear better! Though I am no expert. Just what my research found from US. I am not hard on brakes as my last set of OEM lasted 4 tracks sessions and 40k. This set of Slotted are up to 20+k with very little wear to date. I suppose depends upon how hard on brakes you are. They do stop harder when stopping aggressively though.
  24. You don't. Slotted rotors will wear pads a little quicker for normal driving. They just look better! IMO. They are better on the track days though!
