  1. I think Bosch make them. I called supercheap auto when my IS300 had a fault come up. But that turned out to be a weak spark from the coils dying and making the cylinder run rich. But new coils, spark plugs and leads and the fault went away. Also the GS300 pops up a lot more in the parts catalog than a IS300 would, so that might help you out.
  2. Its called the Legana kit, the side skirts and rear lip with the big rear spoiler. But it should have this front bar and the sports grille http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/wollongong-2500/wrecking/wrecking-silver-lexus-is200-see-description-for-prices/1090539970 Or if you are just after the front lip, side skirts and the rear lip its call the Elegance Kit but I think both are Lexus discontinued items. Apparently the front lip can still be bought from Lexus but I think its $300+
  3. Hey mate, Try Bosch from any where really. I think every super cheap auto can order them in for you and I think there are a few on ebay atm, new and used. There are 3 sensors, 1 for the first 3 cylinders, 1 for the last 3 cylinders and then one further down the exhaust. I had the same issue when my IS300 was running rough. Took it in to my mechanic for a service a little early he said he was getting 2 errors, one was for an ignition coil and one was for an o2 sensor. We replaced all the coils, spark plugs and leads in one hit and both errors went away..... so I stopped looking for the o2 sensor after that.
  4. Yeah the GPS is about the only difference pretty much. All IS300s will have the HIDs, leather seats or the half suede ones, and the front seats will be heated and electric adjustable also they will have the little bobtail spoiler on the boot. Every Lexus LEXUS IS200 & IS300 should have a sunroof unless you special ordered it.
  5. Main difference in the IS300 and the IS200 is the driveline, 2JZGE with a A650E(only 5 speed auto, with the shift buttons) with a bigger diff and axles at the back. Headlights are HIDs in the IS300 and the interior will be full leather or half suede. It will have the heated front seats and electric as well. I know some IS200s came out with the cloth seat I don't find the IS300 too front heavy but I have never driven a IS200 very fast either. I think the IS300 has better fuel economy because the 2JZ doesn't stress too hard to make the same power and torque the 1G would. I bought the IS300 because it was roughly the same price as the IS200s and I figure the 2JZ won't quit anytime soon. My car is past 300,000kms and doesn't burn oil or smoke at all. The trans is starting to shift slower between neutral and a gear but I am the only one who notice it. If you are not happy with the auto you can switch to any Manual connected to a 2JZGE so W55-58, R154, V160 or V161. I am not 100% sure if the shifter will come up perfectly through the hole perfectly but its a good start. SRT in the states have a IS300 turbo kit that can push out 450+ hp https://www.swiftracing.com/SRT/item.aspx?id=10 Anyways food for thought, happy car hunting
  6. The IS300 has a B series diff same as the Supra NA models and bigger axles so you would have to swap the whole rear cradle brakes, axles and whole diff. Also I would double check the tailshafts are a straight swap. Nothing worse than doing all that work to get your car ready for monday morning and the tailshaft is too short or too long.
  7. You can still buy them from Lexus, $295 AUD in raw black plastic, just need to track down the part number : 08154-53810 I will be selling my old one soon its a bit rough and has by hit by 2 foxes but its still in one piece.
  8. I have a 2003 IS300. Aussies IS300's are only Autos. The IS300 is slighty more front heavy because of the 2jzge in the front instead of the 1gfe of the IS200. Most parts are completely interchangable. I choose the IS300 because they are quite uncommon and sometimes you can grab a bargin(I got mine less than a similar IS200 at the time). I don't think the 2JZ will quit anytime soon(I am past 300,000kms). The 2jzge is shared across the Toyota and Lexus range so I thought engine mods and parts would be easier than the 1GFE. The rear diff and axles are larger than the IS200, so if you wanted to do an engine swap the rear end doesn't need to be changed. I also have been told I get better fuel economy than IS200s. IS300s also have HID headlights which come in handy at night but cost a fortune to replace. All IS300's should have the electric and heated fronts seats. I have kept up or beaten SV6 commodores, a few WRXs, S15, 370Z and 350Z at the lights.
  9. 3SGE BEAMS blacktop is a straight swap and with half cuts coming in at $3,000 seems silly to look past it. I think HKS pushed nearly 400rwkw out of the BEAMS but that was a 2.2L stocker kit and a turbo with heap of work and the supporting mods.
  10. If you are looking for a 4 door turbo Toyota why not a Chaser(JZX100) or a Aristo? Might save you money in the long run. I have an IS300 I find it too front heavy however there is power there when you want it and it will get you around town for under 10L/100kms. My IS300 is coming up on 300,000kms, so I am either going to swap the engine with another 2JZ-GE or 1JZGTE or 2JZGTE. The easiest swap is a 2JZ-GTE from a late model Aristo(JZS161) the loom is almost identical to a IS300 loom, however again, Auto only. There is plenty of people who have done this swap heaps of info on the net if you are willing to read it. A Supra runs a Getrag 6 speed V160(series 1) and V161(Series 2). You could bolt these onto an IS300 however, you will need to add a clutch pedal etc and custom trans mount. The head on a 2JZ-GE is different to the head off a 2JZ-GTE , off the shelf items for a 2JZ-GTE do not bolt onto it. These guys in the States are offering a decent turbo kit for an IS300, my friend has tuned one at 450hp and it rips http://www.swiftracing.com/SRT/item.aspx?id=10 Other than that you could look at these: http://www.boostclassifieds.com.au/advert/2230696-2000-Lexus-Is200-Sports-Luxury-Gxe10r-for-Sale.html http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Lexus-IS200-2000/SSE-AD-2153169/?Cr=1 http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Lexus-IS200-2001/SSE-AD-2202409/?Cr=2 http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Lexus-IS200-2003/SSE-AD-2081665/?Cr=10 Happy Hunting....
  11. BTW the TRD Arms and Links are cheaper than buying the OEM ones, I think that is what Nick was saying. But they are just OEM Arms and Links sprayed red, slapped with a TRD sticker on it and then put TRD bushes in it. So not too much difference
  12. Hey mate GXE10 = Lexus IS200 the "G" is for the 1GFE engine in the IS200 SXE10 = Toyota Altezza the "S" is for the 3SGE Beams engine in the Altezza If you are looking at TRD parts in the Japan site always try for the Altezza or SXE10 Try Superpro here mate might have better luck with them and more support if you even need it. There is an Altezza forum with a guy, Nick, who works at North Shore Toyota in New Zealand. Very helpful guy and he is also a dealer of TRD, Cusco and other JDM goodies. Good luck.
  13. Don't think the GPS screen came with RCA inputs, so you might have to replace the screen. Try looking in the USA, Europe and New Zealand as the factory GPS rarely come up for sale. The GPS was available in the IS200s as well(as an optional extra). I own a 2003 IS300 Sports, with no GPS. I was just going to put a double din headunit with RCA ports in to replace the huge factory stereo.
  14. There is a Damaged IS250 on ebay atm its under IS250 windscreen. Don't know how bad the damage is. Here http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Lexus-IS250-IS350-FRONT-WINDSCREEN-GLASS-/120718299890?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c1b5f12f2#ht_500wt_1156 Lexus IS200s are cheap as nowadays, or you can get a imported JDM Toyota Altezza with a BEAMS sell everything you don't want and go from there http://my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/65/p/1/k/toyota%20altezza/id/3642/Default.aspx Give Buddyparts in SA an email. I know he imports and strips Altezza all the time. Cheers
