  1. Hey Mate I used Castrol Edge 5W-30 Titanium. The nose did go away for a while but once in a while it would come back. Ive actually sold the car 2 years ago, unsure if it is still a issue. https://www.castrol.com/en_au/australia/car-engine-oil/engine-oil-brands/castrol-edge/edge-product-page/edge-5w-30-a3b4.html I also have a Mazda 6 MPS that has the same issue however oil wont fix the problem. Thanks Quoc

  3. Hi Guys, I parted ways with my 08 Lexus IS250 a few months ago and I have a few parts left over I need to get rid of as it is taking up space in my garage. 1. aFe TR-2004P Takeda Cold Air Intake System - $250 ono - SOLD This was installed in my car for approx 30K km's. The below picture is taken from another site. I have attached photo's of the actual intake that was on my car Oil-Free Pro DRY S Filter, 3-Layers Of Progressively Finer Porosity Synthetic Media, Large 5" Tall Conical Filter with a 5-1/2" flange opening diameter Washable & Reusable, 3" mandrel-bent wrinkle-black powder-coated intake tube, 18 Gauge Powder-Coated Heat Shield Polyurethane Couplings, Hardware and Clamp For Strength And Durability, No cutting or drilling Manufactured and Assembled in the USA 2. BC Racing V1 Adjustable Coil Overs - $750 ono These were on my car for approx 30K km's, there are no leaks or any issues with them. They are height and damper adjustable and comes with adjustable spanners They will need a quick clean as I have not cleaned them (just road dirt & dust) since I have taken them off the car The BC V1 Design VS Coilover Suspension Kit features 30 levels of Damping Force adjustment with Full-length height adjustment, which not only allows extremely low ride height, but also gives drivers the ability to tune their suspension setup for all types of road conditions. These rubber upper mounts are purpose fitted to absorb hard impacts and improve ride comfort. Various spring rates are available and specifically crafted to work perfectly with the BC V1 Design Dampers. BC's aim is to provide a variety of suspension setup options to cater to the technical driver. Specs: Front Rubber Top Mount Rear Rubber Top Mount 30 Level Damping Force Adjustment Height Adjustment System Anodized Alloy Casing CNC Machined T6061 Alloy Locking Ring Monotube Design For Maximum Performance Fully Rebuildable Spring Rates: F: 10kg R: 8kg Due to the size and weight of the coil overs, pick up only (Sunshine West, VIC) Thanks Quoc
  4. Hey Guys, Hoping someone can help me here. Its time for me to sell my IS and i want to put it back to stock and remove the coil overs. The issue I'm facing is with the front shocks, the stock shocks are longer than the BC Racing coil overs I have. Not sure how I got them out int he first place but I guess because they were in use, they were a bit compressed. Since they have been storage for the past 3 years, they have expanded to the maximum length. I've disconnected the A arm at the top as well as the front sway bar links, pushed the lower control arm as far as possible however I still need another inch to slide the stock shocks back in. I haven't started on the rears but that should be easier as i can drop the lower control arm, bolt the shock back in and use a jack under the LCA to push it back up. Any suggestions guys Thanking you in advance!! Cheers Quoc
  5. I got my letter the other day, called up Melbourne City Lexus... they haven't got the parts in as yet. I'm getting my 90K service at the end of the month and i told them to do the recall at the same time
  6. Do you have the ML Stereo or the standard one? If the standard one, people have replaced their whole console with FlyAudio which will give them the full functionality e.g. onscreen display, GPS etc etc If you do have the ML system - I also have this problem and have looked at alternate (besides plugging in the audio cable) - I read somewhere one of the alternate is to install/purchase something like a BlackBerry Music Gateway. The BlackBerry Music Gateway is one of those must-have mobile accessories. It's small and versatile, allowing you to wirelessly stream music from your BlackBerry or other phone or tablet (Android, iOS, Windows Phone) to your traditional home and car audio systems. Now you can enjoy the music on your mobile device through the power of your home or car stereo speakers. Wirelessly play the music on your smartphone, tablet, or computer through your home stereo or car stereo using the BlackBerry Music Gateway. Just plug the BlackBerry Music Gateway into your stereo system, and pair it with most BlackBerry using Bluetooth connectivity or NFC technology, then fill any room with your music. It’s really that simple. You’ve got full control over playback, change tracks, volume, and play or pause because most BlackBerry is your remote control. Wirelessly play music from: Bluetooth enabled laptops and personal computers Bluetooth enabled smartphones Bluetooth enabled tablets Connect BlackBerry Music Gateway to: Bookshelf or computer speakers Stereo system In car stereo system MP3 Player docking station Features: Connect via Bluetooth or simply tap to connect your NFC enabled device. Compatible with any smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer that's A2DP enabled Additonal Informartin: Smartphone, tablet or device must support A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles Smartphone must support Near Field Communication (NFC) for tap to connect feature. (NFC technology is not enabled for all carriers. Please check with your service provider for availability). Connect using the RCA or 3.5mm auxiliary cables included in the box Includes: Music Gateway 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable 3.5mm to RCA cable Micro-USB charger
  7. I was driving around and every ISF i see on the streets, Im looking for yours only to realise your in NSW. It sh!ts me to tears knowing that someone has done this to you, it can be done to anyone. Even if you do all your checks, you never know.
  8. Holy Crap.... Hope you didnt cancel your insurance and its still covered mate.
  9. did he remove the ML system ? lol btw went for a drive tonight and the ML sub seems to be back to normal, " Iggy Azalea - Black Widow "came on the radio and the bass kicked in and sounded awesome, used these sound settings: The only thing he kept was the factory ML head unit and amp (because it controls other functions of the headunit). He tapped the signal source from the factory ML amp to the RF 3Sixy.3 processor then to the RF amps to the sub & speakers
  10. Yeah he sure has, then you should see what he did with his off road machine RZR As they say, if you have to ask, - The RF T2500 amps RRP is $2300 each here in Aus
  11. Ouch that is one deep paint chip... def cover it up with touch up paint so that it doesnt start to rust up until you get a proper respray one day
  12. Yeah it does look odd... I still have mine in place so when i take out my RF sub (because i need the boot space), I still have the ML sub. I havent ripped out my rear parcel shelf to see what the stock one looks like but im sure thats it. No I dont have any pics of my sub, its just in a small 1 cubic foot box (i had from my previous car) and I have the RF amp hidden where you have your spare tyre tools are. I do hope Ill get off my arse one day and build a proper box so it will sit flush to the rear seats but then again, I maybe upgrading to a newer model IS next year I only started getting back into car audio after stumbling on Steve Meade - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142076-ubllexus-is-f-sound-system-install-featured-in-performance-auto-sound-mag-page-6/
  13. edit: its very strange, this morning i got in the car and the BASS sounds great!! lol, maybe my car battery is going bad ? might replace the battery, as i didnt use my IS for a few weeks and the battery was nearly flat, It wouldn't be the battery, if your battery is going bad, your car wouldn't start. Once the car is started, all the power draws off the alternator. Are you playing from a external MP3 player or off a CD/MP3? It could be the source of the music it self as I know depending on how the MP3 has been encoded, some songs have more bass than others If your alright with the tools, you can just pull out the back seats and lift up the rear parcel shelf and have a look at the sub it self and see if there are any cracks. How to removal the parcel shelf - google is your friend (http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/80212-remove-parcel-shelf-to-access-subwoofer/) and also what the stock ML sub looks like In regards to the replacement free air sub - Im not sure about this as I replaced my ML sub with a aftermarket sub in a box powered with another amp
