  1. Lexus do not recommend towing behind these cars. Why? They have great power for towing. The gs300 is rated to over 2000lbs. I have read that the car is not designed for towing. In what way is it different? Nobody including the lexus customer care people are prepared to give a difinitive answer. Is the drivetrain inferior? Are they afraid that the HV battery will see water when launching a towed boat? What damage do they think will be occasioned to the vehicle if used to tow say a boat with a total load of about 1200kg? Can anyone give me an answer, I have searched the net and cannot find an answer. Surely this is not a new question Jeffro
  2. Works well on a 2006 gs450h but you need to hold both the reset and the odo for the timeframe nominated to make it work. I've just done it on mine Thanks for the tip
  3. Hello Astec If you tell me what a PM is I'll do it because I would very much like to eliminate this glitch. I have had a Garmin gps for years and you can do anything anytime, so this is frustrating the hell out of me. I would also like to get a disk that shows speed cameras etc. Just like the cheap gps' do. Jeffro5550
  4. Hi, I have a gs450h with only 15000km on the clock even though the car is 6 years old. I bought the car about 4 months ago and love it. This is my 7th Lexus. I have noticed that I have a reasonably strong smell of acid fumes in the boot even though the 12v battery is near new and a sealed unit. I have read elsewhere that these batteries have a vent that will emit fumes from time to time. Has anyone else noticed a similar event? Regards Jeffro
