  1. ^ nice wheels recently swapped my front grille "L" emblem with a new one, since mine was starting to get oxidised/yellowish at the top due to direct sunlight/age. i dont mind the "hybrid" blue backing either. The emblem only fits grilles with the radar type emblems:
  2. Hey, yeah the 2IS is awesome, im always viewing the forums every now and then. i've been using a VW Golf daily, heres pics I tried to take from the same position:
  3. photos were taken under tarren point bridge the other day, didn't have my canon SLR With me, although the new iPhone camera is pretty good I recon.
  4. Finally got the horizontal f sport badges on eBay for about $4 each to cover the holes from the old blinkers.. They are replica badges but still look good for the price They also have beveled/3d edges like OEM, here's a closeup:
  5. Does this diagram look correct ? i think it does, i constrcuted it with the help of ICU2 on the forum from the diagram u can see the DRL light will not illuminate if the headlights are already on ( if the 50% wire has been triggered) i think and there are two relays, (SPDT relay) 1. which controls the DRL brightness, and 2. which will illuminate the led DRL when unlocking the vehicle Edit : i attempted this install today, and no luck..... Basically i wired the Positive wire (+) from the mirror puddle lights to Pin 86 on the second new relay, every other wire taps into the others on the first relay, (except the IGN power wire) (ground wire to pin 85 on new relay), (and 87 to LED 100% on new relay)), and the IGN power wire went to pin 30 on the new relay, (87a is Blank - terminated wire) when plugging in the New second Relay i do hear a Click, meaning the relay is working, not sure which wire to change, i tried wiring the negative puddle light wire to pin 86 and that didn't work either, i think it might be activating the 87a which has nothing, which is why they don't illuminate when unlocking. LED DRLs still work fine when starting the engine. Also in the diagram the LED drls are running on a Relay (Not using headlight ECU). if anyone can help would be great, ill try tomorrow
  6. There is a Warehouse in sydney, Australia which now has the black ones in stock, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Black-LED-Light-Bar-Tail-Lights-for-Lexus-ISF-IS250-IS350-Taillight-05-08-/231545224088?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item35e92bbb98 Its strange how they claim to only fit the 2005-2008, yet the OEM 2012 tail lights do fit on early model 2IS' ??
  7. I found pics of these new tail lights for the 2IS, (they look like the 3IS Tail lights) They have the sharp "L" tube LEDs in the tail lights which look very cool, and they are full LED (indicators and all) Pics are from this blog here: http://minkara.carview.co.jp/en/userid/1010646/blog/35338959/default.aspx?cm=true#cm *EDIT: new pics: it seems there are many different versions/colours available: i like the last one the best :D Here is another hard to find version made by "Nigeljdmparts.com", : there is alot of discussion about these tail lights here on clublexus: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-second-generation/780138-2is-new-edition-aftermarket-tail-lights-5.html
  8. I wanna do this lol haven't got around to doing it yet, still unsure about a few things read below in bold, Also you can change the headlight Globes without removing the bumper, just need to remove the air intake on the driver side for easier access, - dont start the car with the intake off.. i did this once (to test globes) and the engine kind of stalls for a sec, all was good though when i put it back. on the passenger side the wiper water (washer fluid) tube just needs to be removed (1 bolt), then you can reach that globe. its much easier than taking off the whole bumper., on the topic of the DRL illuminating when unlocking, i made an easy to read diagram (using the info), and i have Relay 1 in place ( the DRLS function like factory) - installed myself took many hours, Relay 2 just taps into a few wires of that Relay 1 so i dont need to remove the bumper again... just the driver door panel to tap into the Puddle light.. i will try adding RELAY 2 soon, i just need to buy some extra wire, shrink tubes, etc. i have 1 question on the diagram though, as member "unco" said in post #5 Does the IGN fuse wire from the relay #1 go to PIN 87 and 87a on RELAY #2 ?? As one says "IGNITION" and the other says pin 30 of relay 1, which is the "IGNITION"?.. Just wanted to be sure before I attempt, Here is the diagram I made using the info ; http://postimg.org/image/o46d5bu7v/full/
  9. Why was he opening your bonnet ? Very suspicious..
  10. Hi, so I have a minor problem with the radio system, (levinsion with navigation), So it's happened a few times now, while driving along listening to the radio the "Audio off" randomly appears and then the eject and load lights flicker really fast, and all the CDs get spat out, Everything still worked fine once it's done ejecting all the CDs, they even play after re loading them, just wondering what causes this lol, it's only happened 2 times
  11. I have a set of 2010-early 2013 2IS, just the LED indicator pieces I can sell to you, They look like this : However if you have the new 3IS 2013 style which looks like this : Possibly a ct200h indicator piece would fit? Not 100% sure, would have to check the measurements
  12. I noticed this too! my IS250 is a FEB 2007 build, was wondering if my IS needs this recall, guess it might not ?:
  13. not to hijack your thread, but Today i was driving down my street and as i was coming to a stop (Braking), i heard a chime sound and saw "Check VSC", along with a flashing engine light, but as i drove off the message disappeared and i havent seen it since... im not sure what triggered the message ? car was running fine, my battery was just changed around 1 week ago, not sure if that has something to do with it, i saw the message for less than 10 seconds,
  14. i had a body shop paint it for me, they had it ready the next day, very quick, TR flanagan (Penshurt) was the shop i used, they are a car smash repair shop, but offer painting services also, very good quality work, im gonna go back and have all my window switches painted too :P it looks very shiny through the window:
