  1. Has anyone noticed the difference between the suspension of the 2017-2020 vs the 2015/2016 models? My '17 feels smoother and sharper than the '15 RCF I had - not sure if it had anything to do with weight of the RCF
  2. Jeremy Clarkson's infamous GSF review. One of my all time favourite reviews and I noticed that it had been taken down YouTube. https://youtu.be/8L21ggZ7R6k Video had to be zoomed in to avoid copyright
  3. Hey guys, Been shopping around and was curious since they offered 2 trim levels in Australia - Alcantara and Aniline. Besides the differences in the seat and the aniline having ventilated seats as well, are there any other differences between the 2 trims? I can't seem to find much information online.
  4. Hi all I'm an owner of a 2015 RCF. Reason why I am posting here is because I had already taken the car to a LEXUS dealership and they clearly didn't fix the issue seeing as that was the main reason I went (as well as a major service). The other week I drove over a very deep pothole that caused a loud bang when the front right tyre went straight in. It was a heavy impact that was felt very hard in the car with the front right of the car practically slamming off the concrete. I'm also from Australia so the right side is the driver's side. Everything was fine at the time as the wheels did not sustain any damage. But towards the end of the drive I noticed the sound began to cut off. The traffic warning system was sounding very weak and started to crackle and fade. Eventually I lost all audio in the car. I could not even change the volume. Turning the knob did not even trigger the pop up screen with the volume on it. And now to the other problem. I turned off the car and as I turned it on again I noticed how weak the engine sounded. Normally the car "roars" to life when I press the ignition but for some reason it sounded like it had lost 2 cylinders. Honestly felt like a v6 more than a v8. Funny thing is the issue with the engine and the audio fixed itself the next day before failing again and repeating. Now the audio is completely dead and I've got that weak engine startup feel again. Reading online makes me think that the audio might be an issue with the amp but is it possible for a bad pothole to trigger this? Im not sure if I should take it back to lexus or to an independent high rated mechanic/auto electrician to fix this. I was wondering if anyone had any insight or experienced anything similar.
  5. If it was black with cream interior it'd definitely be on the top of my list. Well done on keeping the car so close to new though. It's a crazy used car market at the moment..
  6. Yea Ive been keeping an eye on those ones. But I just can't justify spending that much considering a 2017 c43/s5 can be had for about $10k more There was also a my14 for $60k with around 60,000km on the clock. Got sold pretty quickly from the time it was put on carsales
  7. Hi guys so I've been browsing around trying to find an ISF (there are barely any atm) and I just want some input on whether say a car like this is worth it: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/darra/cars-vans-utes/2011-lexus-is-use20r-my12-is-f-black-8-speed-sports-automatic-sedan/1258134236 If you're having trouble viewing it it's basically a my12 with almost 115000km for around 40k. Are the kms too high for that price? Should I continue to wait? It wasn't that long ago you could find rcfs for 60k or lower so just wondering whether the isf pricing atm is too steep. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  8. Just wondering if anyone can help me. I'm looking to buy an isf with preferably lower kms and clean. Budget of 40k and in Sydney. Would prefer black. Thanks
  9. Hi guys So I recently bought my partner a Flame Blue 2011 IS350 F Sport to replace the old run down camry she had and I gotta say I was very impressed with the car. Kind of wished I bought it for myself haha. But a week later I crashed my mazda 3. It's completely written off and never envisaged this to actually happen (although I've been complaining about wanting a new car for ages). I've always wanted a lexus IS but was never committed to changing cars due to economical reasons. But here I am forced to buy a new car and I've pretty much settled on a lexus. Now the question is , which one do I go for? I've noticed the is350 is quite thirsty on fuel whilst driving my partners. The power is amazing but for myself I don't think it's a necessity. I do a lot of driving for work and half of the time it will be urban driving. So I'm actually looking for something that is good on fuel as well. Initially I looked at the is250 but I heard the fuel consumption on it is really not that much better than the is350? Correct me if I'm wrong. Which lead me to looking at the is300h and the is200t. I'm kind of leaning more towards the is300h due to it being hybrid and using less fuel but I've never owned a hybrid before so I don't know what it's like. Of course I'll be test driving them but I am on holidays till the end of the week so I just wanted people to share their opinions. How is the is300h like? Is there anything different I need to do whilst owning a hybrid car? I will be going for the f sport badge regardless of which model I choose because I love the look. Please your opinions will be greatly appreciated thank you.
  10. Hi everyone Made this account a while ago but never used it Recently bought my partner a is350 f sport and I am looking to buy a new 3is
