just spoke to chatswood

its the fuel pressure sensor thats under recall

lexus will contact you via mail

untill you get the mail they can not do anything about it

as they wouldnt have any parts for your car

and theres alot of parts that needs to be out

just FYI

Dealers wont be contacting us directly untill majority of recall issues are sovled

so guys keep an eye out in your mail box and then contact your local dealer after u get the recall letter in the mailbox

In my case they could never send me a letter because I bought my car privately and I never told Lexus that this car changed hands. They'll probably send a letter to the original owners.

I'm sure there are plenty of others in my position, and some won't even know about a recall. Time to ring the consumer hotline I guess...

Judging from this it seems like only the IS250's produced from 5/09/2007 to 22/06/2010 qualify for the recall.

My is250 build date is early 2007 so i believe i miss out on the recall.

Guess its better to ask Lexus but does anyone know why this might be the case? Did they use different parts after the early batch in 07.

I noticed this too! my IS250 is a FEB 2007 build, was wondering if my IS needs this recall, guess it might not ?:

I got my letter the other day, called up Melbourne City Lexus... they haven't got the parts in as yet. I'm getting my 90K service at the end of the month and i told them to do the recall at the same time

I had mine done today. Got a coffee and cupcake on arrival, a IS300h loaner and finally some nice chocolates upon pickup. They washed my car too but there's minor swirls in the paint now, oh well.

Letter came in last week and booked in today (New Lexus dealership, only opened for 2 weeks so no wait).
