yeah I seen that module and kind of agree, keep it simple less things to go wrong - we should have some videos by this time tomorrow and I will post them up asap.

requested normal driving / highway driving in cabin footage to sort of get an idea what its like from some non-varex owners in the states!

Hey Vaku

Fitting was no problem at all. Took me and my son about an hour and a half. Although we took our time & carefully went through and checked everything.

I fitted it with all the bolts etc loose and once it was all in place then secured all the flanges.

We will take some video for you boys today and load them up tonight.

I will only load up the video if i am happy with the sound from the phone so cross your fingers.

An exhaust shop will fit the system in an hour easy. We would have done so also but took our time.

As for heat soak we do not race them 24/7. On the dyno yes any car would suffer from it. Hot days yes also. BUT whilst driving there is plenty of air entering the engine bay.

well, I got it.
so far I am very impressed - yes its obviously louder than stock but I have not noticed any drone at cruising speeds as mentioned by the guys, will give it a proper test tonight or tomorrow and will chuck up some dashcam vids!

Sounds really good Vaku, how much difference in sound is it to the ISS system you had, What about the HKS, i thought you really liked it other than the mid pipe?

ISS was more 'boomy' if that makes sense, HKS i really liked but I priced up a custom mid and I actually paid the same amount for the full x force system so I just went with it!

had too many systems I know lol!

Yep the ISS was boomy and did drone but do sound good on the outside of car. I'm waiting for the x force Varex system, it's on back order until after Chinese New Year.

My Lexus dealer has some Joe Z PTS systems in stock but wants $5,500 for the exhaust, intake and ported intake manifold, they sound awesome but the drone is almost unbearable plus that's 4 times the price of the x force, admittedly you get the intake and manifold but not worth it in my opinion.

yeah the drone was annoying I had to keep it in 7th gear on some long drives to get it out of that 'drone zone' lol.

I will give the XF a good test tonight as I was stuck in traffic all the way home after fitting @ kirrawee mufflers (who did an excellent job btw and the shop owner designed the system so who better to install it!) I paid $1350 all up installed which is just.. stupid really, cheap as!

but initial impression was sounded very good and did not drone when holding the car @ 90kmh etc - so really so far so good!

$5,500 is too much..  you can get a HPS for a few hundred, TOMs drop in etc for $100 or so..  the Joe Z is better quality but it drones apparently so.. yeh.

Thanks mate  for your clip, it made up my mind now and i will pull a trigger on the system this week. Just wondering where did you get yours from ? I found 1 on on ebay for $1350 ( seems like a decent price ) . 

Anyone here got K&N intake , i would like to get one ( mostly for more V8 sound into the cabin as i just cant get enough of it ) , and on Clublexus : ECU tuning is availble now and seems like get very good result . Not sure if any tuners here can do somehting similar ?

Yeah thats the place I got mine from (the ebay advert) thats Kirawee Mufflers - ring and ask them for a price they will sort you out :) tell them David with the white ISF refered you.

Good to see all you guys are happy with the exhaust . When I was looking for one I came across the xf one but no one had it fitted . I was gona go get it done despite the fact people saying it looked cheap as for the price was a steal . I ended up getting my hands on a joe z for same money that's why I didn't go ahead with it . 

Does rear muffler have dual pipes on each side or just one ?

rear muffler just has single exit each side.

David, are you also running headers and an intake, or just the catback? Really sounds quite good.

I wish that there was another option that came close to replicating the Novel sound, without costing near enough $15k.
