  1. Agreed! As much as 18" is an improvement over those ghey looking 16s, 19" is a lot better! It really fills up the wheel arches fully. Going 20 would be obscene though (I was tempted haha). IS has a really fat rear quarter, big rims suit it very nicely! Here are my 19s. Mind you optically they look smaller due to the deep dish, so probably not the best example. Maybe somoene with no dish rims can post theirs up (there is a thread somewhere with people's pictures of their rims), but if you imagine my rim's spokes to be touching the edge of the rim, it would look a lot bigger optically.
  2. I got mine with Lexus, about 1100 bucks per annum. Was cehaper than HBF, Allianz, RAC and all the rest. I had a small cliam about a year ago (driver's door got a bit dented in the carpark), it got fixed smoothly no problems. ANd I was only about two months into the policy lol.
  3. It sounds good when you red line it, what are you talking about? Music to my ears!! :)
  4. Yeah, why would you bother? It probably made the dude in the lancer think his POS is worthy a drag from an IS-F... A Lexus mechanic told me a while ago they red lined a lexus V8 for a long time (can't remember how many minutes or hours) bfore it sh@t itself. Brief squirt like that will do no damage to it.
  5. Are you serious??? You're taking the piss right?
  6. I treid to do the reset myself before, and it didn't work for me for soem reason, so I dropped past the dealer and they reset the ecu in two minutes, for free.
  7. Can you describe the fault further, does the motor make noise, slow down and struggles to close it or something, or does it slide as normal, and then just before it is completely shut, it goes in reverse and opens back fully again? Mine has done that three times in the last three years I had this car, all I had to do was reset the sunroof ECU...
  8. That's seriosuly overpriced in comparison! Check your fine print carefully, surely you can have it servied at any other Lexus dealer!
  9. How come your oil level drops significantly every 15K? You must a high mileage or worn piston rings? I had it checked by Lexus, they said my oil consumption was within accepted levels. When I top it up, the dipstick shows oil level around, or just under the minimum mark. I have just under 100K kays on my odo. Car does over 25K kays per year so gets serviced every 8 months or so.
  10. Good pont about oil. Having 15K service intervals seems a bit long, considering I get low oil level warnings about 2K kays away from one. I usually top it up straight after with about a litre of oil. Best thing to do would be to check your dipstick. You do notice the car run a bit quieter after a top up. Having said that, it doesn't sound anything like yours, something is definately not right. I was thinking maybe you have no oil, but then your dash would light up like a christmas tree...
