Blacked Out Emblems

Hi All,

About 2 weeks ago I blacked out my emblems using plasti dip. It was much cheaper than buying new emblems and definately easier than installing them. $40 & 2hours later these are the results. Let me know what you think guys! Also has anyone else used this product before and do you think it would work on the window trim??

I've just done mine, not as good on Obsidian.

Here's my pics, I decided to leave the ISF Emblem as is.

They both look great - always been a fan of black out - especially on the audis...this looks good though...

I also plastidipped my white ISF badges in the rear.

The stuff is so addictive so I masked off the front bumper and plastidipped the centre to give it the new face spindle look. Unfortunately it has taken on an evo x sort of look instead. I've left it on for now but not sure if I'll keep it on...

The blacked out emblems look great on the blue and white still not sure about doing it on black.

t4orce, love your emblems, I'm not so keen on your bumper.

Anyone done the grill surround yet?

Emblems look really good not sure about the bumper though. There was a post on clublexus where someone blacked out the intakes which looked pretty good. Good thing about plasti dip is you can easily remove it if you don't like it

nice work on the emblems t4orce. I like the F logo you have added to the front grille too.

Just a quick update for those who are thinking of trying plasti dip. I just washed my car over the weekend and the emblems held up fine. Obviously i was careful not to go to hard at them but they are still in good condition.

I high pressure wash my car regularly and no matter how hard I hit the Plastidip it just clings on. If I scratched the edge and hit it with high pressure I'm sure it would peel.

For those of you who wanted to see what chrome looks after plastidipping, here are some pics of my Prado. I haven't hit the ISF grille yet as I haven't had time to look at how to remove the grille.

Prado grille removal was easy...

Smoked and glossified the rear lights too. I smoked first and the glossified a week later which probably wasn't the best. The rear badges are all blackened as well.
