Hi

On Friday my 2006 RX350 started making a loud 'lawnmower' type sound when accelerating and decelerating. By the time I got it to the mechanic , about 20km's, all the oil had almost leaked out and he diagnosed it as a faulty oil hose component, the refilled oil was literally spraying out of the car!

It was replaced and the mechanic said it would be pinging for a few days but it is now five days later and it is still the same pinging noise (sounds like when you were a kid and put a card in your bike spokes!) . Should I be worried? I will take it back tomorrow but would just like some insider info if possible!
