Cause of valley plate coolant leaks
An American you tube posting claims the longer life pink coloured coolant is the cause of premature valley plate coolant gasket collapse & that this can be prevented with the shorter life red coloured coolant. Can anyone confirm the likelihood of this being true ? As the proud owner of a 2018 GS F with 40k kms I am keen to avoid this valley plate problem if possible & consider more frequent coolant replacements a small price to pay. -

Map Upgrade?
Hi Kenn, mine is a 2012, I did not pay the $200-300 upgrade for each map, just seemed like bad money, does mean my map is pretty funny at times. I just use Waze. It updated through the USB, I have not found a way to get around it but have not tried hard. Pretty sure if you empty your wallet at the Lexus service centre they can help you. Sorry I could not be of more help. -

2006 IS350 Brake rotors & pads recommendations
Good Morning everyone, I'm looking to replace the rotors and pads on my IS350. I've been researching for some time now but I just can't settle on a combo. The car is my daily and I plan to take it to trackdays on Carco raceway in WA. What rotors and pads would you recommend? So far I found mixed reviews. Some recommend the DBA T2 or the Dixcel SD or Bosch. Some are recommending the EBC yellowstuff or the Dixcel type S pads while others says just go full OEM all around with better brake fluid and lines (next on my to do list). I don't mind paying for quality but I don't want to overspend on brand names, looks or something I don't need. Don't care about brake dust or looks. I just need something that work and I don't want a setup that sounds like grinding metal everytime i stop at a traffic light. I'm planning on replacing the brake line next but for now I need to replace my brakes first as they are approaching the end of their lives. For the tyre's department I've got a set Michelin PS5 installed. All of your suggestions are very much appreciated. -

Lexus wood trim for Australian model
Hi I have just purchased a mint CT200h one owner which is a bit light on trim. I have researched some trim packages available, they are mainly from the USA and don’t ship to Aus possibly because of the left/right hand drive but kits of wood veneer and carbon fibre are quite affordable. If I could obtain them could I upgrade the current trim with this package? Has anyone had any experience doing this? I would appreciate any information or advice on this fine vehicle. Thanks Peter
