Guest
I changed my brake pads and fotors up front today and discovered one of my lug nuts must be spinning as I couldnt torque the nut right (large push on extension bar) and suspect the tyre shop mighty have overtorqued it putting my wheels back on. Is it a generic bolt I can get from SupaCheap or do we need special ones?
2bling
Nothing special Repco supercheap or Toyota, you may want to take the stud with you to make sure. Loctite the spline on the stud when you put it in (not the thread)
_ISF
Has the spline on the stud stripped inside the hub? As mentioned above, the stud's themselves are nothing special (and honestly you could drive around temporarily with 4 bolts holding the wheel on until you get it repaired) so you should be able to source them quite easily from Toyota/Lexus or a parts store like Supercheap. Just make sure to match the length and thread pitch to your existing stud.
Slopshua
Out of interest what pads/rotors and how much?
Guest
Protex drilled rotors from ebay, $240ish NS400 pads online, $240, think I overpaid though.
