Importing Rs200

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Have the following car in Malaysia and am wanting to import it back to Australia, i've had it for over 12 months - but have done varying upgrades to it.

Altezza (2001) RS-200

TRD Final Drive

Fujitsubo Exhaust

Supra Brakes

Tein soft/hard suspension

Blitz Supercharger

Blitz Intercooler

TRD Bracing

WedsSports 225/40/R18 Mags

Stereo (Full soundproofing/custom gear throughout)

So a few question, hoping someone can offer advice:

a) any recommends import agents/raws approved places

B) any thoughts on compliance issues

c) anyone have any experience in importing Altezza's?

Thanks :D

I suggest you return the car to standard before you bring it over and bring all the mod parts you have. but however to get the car fully complied and on the road may take up to 6 months after the car arrives off the boat. good luck :) where you moving to?

Where'd you get this info??

This car can only be brought over as a personal import, and as the original poster is aware, must be owned for min 12 months before it can be brought over.

Personal imports DO NOT go through the same process as raws imports hence no need to change back to standard and get the full compliance job done.

However, you will still need to make sure the car is roadworthy, and still meets applicable ADR's for that age car.

Please make sure you gather all the relevant info before applying for your import approval too, as DOTARS will not like if you have to keep adding info to approve the car.

Give the all the info once, and do it right first time.

Check the DOTARS website for particular details about the rules and info they need.

Hope this helps.

Beau
