Hi all,

I have a 99 LS400, the ignition keys on this model are fitted with a small sealed transponder, the ignition switch is fitted with a radio transmitter which sends out a signal which interrogates the key. the transponder code is then compared with a code held in the main computer, if the code is not in the computer the engine management system switches of. I live in New Guinea, my car arrived with only 1 key, the 3 button master. i want to get 2 more keys programmed into the system. Lexus tells me this is only possible via a Lexus diagnostic computer. there is no such thing in PNG, Lexus suggested shipping the car to Australia, which seemed a bit extreme.at a cost of about $4000. Can anyone help with a suggestion on how the key transponders can be programmed into the system?

cheers
