My Lexi Got Hit By A Truck And I Need Parts!

Hello fellow lexi owners.

I was asleep when my lexi got hit by truck as it was parked out the front of my house.

The damage has left the car a repairable write off and i got the insurance payout from the accident but i love my car beyond words so i bought it back with intentions to fix it.

The damage is mainly cosmetic with only the rear sub axel being bent and i am sorting a replacement for that now, though the rear quarter panel is the cosmetic part and it is quite munched. along with the front and rear lower door mouldings and the drivers side mirror.

So the point to this question time is the quote that i recieved was massive as they are using all genuine lexus parts and brand new for that matter as in the wing mirror costs $$625 from lexus !!!! i want to know if anyone is stripping or has a wreckers close to them that is stripping a 98 or above Gs300 lexus as i want many parts. also does anyone know about any interchangable parts between diffferent lexus models like wing mirrors froma es300... and so on

well please get back to me as i am want to get my lexus back on the road and any help will result in a small shrine being built to say thanks to you ;)

Hi there!

I am new and this is my first post ever on this forum. I had car accident last week and got almost same damege that you had got in your car. There is problem with boot lid and back bumper. side panel is fine. My insurance company is gone a write off my car. But I would my car back and would repair my slef. I just would ask you that what is your experience? I mean where can I find the parts and how much work (and $$$$) involve for panel beater?

I can't send pictures now because car is with insurance company and I may get by the weekend.
