Elwood
Hi I looked through the forum but could not find a topic on updating the DVD Sat Nav in the RX350. V15 is out and can be DL'd from torrent sites (google to find). It will take about 24 hours to DL. Burn to a standard DVD (I used a DVD+R) The changeover in the RX350 is simple. Open the tool kit area under the false floor in the back. On the right is a small removable panel about the size of a DVD player - because there is a DVD player behind it. Slide the switch to the right and the old DVD pops out. Insert the new version and away you go. Make sure vehicle ignition is on ACC before you start. Hope this helps anyone. cheers E

Ozoz
For my 2010 model, it's on the floor under the central console (between the driver's and the passenger's seats). Prise open the panel (nearer the front of the vehicle) using a screwdriver. Then, eject the disc and replace with the new one.

The_Snowman
It is really tricky :D like 1 - 2 - 3 Try : 1. Menu not Map 2. Click Info. Phone 3. Click Map Data 4. Click bottom left DVD Good luck :) For me, the updates just cost way too much. I bought an App called Metroview and run it on an iPad. It is especially mapped & designed for Australia; only $24 - highly recommended. Another tip, Google for iTunes discount cards or watch online. Every so often Coles, and other discount 20% !!! I bought $30 card for $24 so got the GPS app and still had $6 credit

BlackCat
Has anyone done this recently? The latest GPS version is V20 and the file size appears to be too large for a regular disc... dynamite
Use a Dual Layer DVD, you can get these from officeworks. Delete the file 464210-2310.MDS and use Imgburn, let it determine the layer break automatically. Has anyone done this recently? Hellespont
My RX had Version 17 I think, I went to the dealership where I bought our RX from and paid $325 for the disc... I think it was V20 or V21. But the idiots at the dealership didn't tell me where the DVD unit was for the GPS.... took a long time to figure it out since every generation and model, its always located at different points. So if you have a third generation 2009 to 2012, it'll be in the storage rack at the centre console's foot well.
