Hey guys, found my way here after looking for information about the Lexus IS200 service scheduals as ill be in the market come November and thought id join up to have a poke around a see what the go is.

A little bit about me, im 22 and live in SE Melbourne, been driving Hondas for as long as i've had my licence and had a couple of motorbikes in there too. Anyway as my 20 year old Prelude reaches the 210,000km mark its become some matter of urgency i start thinking about what to replace it with. Spent a lot of time wanting peformance cars like Supras and S15's but through my work at a Toyota dealership i was fortunate enough to drive a couple of IS200's as trade ins. I developed somewhat of a soft spot for the decent amount of power but more important the luxury features and the quality of the ride and build (sent from god after an ancient lowered Honda).

From what i've read, watched and heard from other owners and the guys at the Lexus dealership next door to us the auto IS200 is a bit of a cop out compared to the manual no? I havnt had a chance to drive a manual one yet but im looking forward to it as i've only ever owned manuals and id probably prefer to stick with them but not overly fussed as long as its a bit of fun to drive. Also considering an IS300 but that's a different kettle of fish.

Anyway this is an intro after all so ill do a bit of research around the site here and hope to join you guys as a Lexus owner by the end of the year.

      Discontinued RCF for Australia

      It appears that the RCF will not be coming to Australia again. The last model, it seems, is the 2021 series. I suspect that these vehicles' value will be stable and incur minor depreciation in the future. There are only a few to choose from on carsales.

      From BMW to Lexus with no looking back

      We purchased our first Lexus last November. RCF 2014 model. We have owned BMWs for the last 20 years but not anymore. We became weary of the repair costs, and they are more expensive to maintain as the years roll on. We searched for a performance vehicle from Japan and came up with the RCF. After owning this vehicle for a few months and putting it through its paces on isolated country roads, there is no comparison with BMW in performance and finish. Having four wheel steering is a winner. The RCF is becoming more affordable as they get older, and with Toyota's reliability you can't go wrong.

      Where Are You From?

      Tweed Valley North New South Wales. I live in a volcanic crater that stretches from Banora Point in the North to Byron Bay in the South, approximately 60 km. Mount Warning is the core of the volcano. We live just inside on the northwest of the crater. It is volcanic soil, and the volcanic basin has its own climate. It is cooler than the Gold Coast, which is only a few kilometres north, and not as dry as the south and west expanses outside the crater.

      Buying RCF 19" Alloy Wheels

      I was looking for a set of stock rims for an RCF as well, with no luck. I priced some new ones and fell over. I purchased a set of wheels from Koya Wheels in Brisbane made to suit the car with a slight offset. Wheels for the RCF can not be purchased from wheel retailers. I called many suppliers and came up with nothing. The wheels I purchased are forged wheels with 15 spokes. I will post a picture.

      Does anyone use a Juicer and have good healthy juice recipes?

      I have tried all types of juicers. The winner is the Champion Juicer. It is a masticating juicer that extracts the juice and produces a relatively dry pup, depending on the fruit or vegetable being juiced. Sadly they are not sold locally anymore but I purchased a new one from German for the same price they were sold here for. Because they run 240/250volts in Europe all you need to do is change the plug. I highly recommend these juicers and have used them for over 25 years.
