  1. Asked this question two times now and getting no love from anyone. Does anyone know the solution to rear battery heat sensor. Replaced battery but the new one's aren't like the original panasonic and don't have a heat sensor connector on the battery. So now my Lexus GS450H is showing check hybrid system warning message and it has been diagnosed as 'not having the heat sensor connected. Is there any easy fix or solution to this? I don't believe the original batteries are still made hence my problem. hope to hear from anyone cheers
  2. Let the battery discharge Rear battery in boot) too many times during covid as lost my job, yeh, sucks! Managed to get a new battery replacement for $187 AUD as opposed to the $370AUD first quoted, WIN ! Connected battery, everything all good but "check Hybrid" message and warning light came on straight away. Driven car, works perfectly and info mode shows hybrid system working. Can I assume warning msg is because of new battery change? Is it a case of taking it to a mechanic to clear the error msg? Just joined this forum so a belated Happy Xmas and New Years to you all !
  3. Hi All. I just had my rear battery on my 08 GS450H replaced as it had discharged a couple of times and when I took it to my battery guy it was only holding 3.8 volts. The battery he supplied was $187 AUD and I trust him implicitly, he actually does supply batteries to Lexus dealerships here in Melbourne Australia. The new battery however didn't have a connection on it to connect the heat sensor, does anyone know whether this is an issue? Also, even though the car starts (I haven't driven it yet) I get the "check hybrid system message". Is this because I've connected a new battery, is it just a case of getting the error msg cleared and then I'll be fine??? By the way, before I purchased the Lexus I checked whether the Hybrid Batteries had ever been replaced and yes they had, so I think they are only currently 5 years old so I don't actually think there is an issue with the Hybrid system as all. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. Keep safe and healthy everyone and look forward to hearing from someone who can answer my questions.
