Hi Does anyone know where i can get engine manuals for 99 aristo vertex twin turbo. I think my twin turbo has had it blowing white smoke , somehow i think oil is leaking into turbo, may need to remove turbos and recondition $$$$ OUCH Poeple tell me its hard, so before i start i might want to check the manual. Or is there a good turbo expert in melbourne who would understand this problem. Lexus dont want to know my 'car':) thanks

Can anyone advise on the appropiate adjustments for a wheel aligment. is it the same as Gs300 ..i have read thta it is and it is not . Does anyone have the correct answer. Thanks

How many Aristo vertex' mark 2 s are there in Australia I have heard only 3 is this true? Are we an endangered species :)

Thanks greeneyes, There was no water in the sludge and no milky in the oil, can the valve seals on the head gasket be changed or does it need a full re-condition. and someone mentioned " no smoke additives" what do these do i thought they were just a temp fix. and usually to hide the smoke only anyone have info about these no smoke addtives .?

Also i noticed sludge built up when i took oil cap off inside the top part of engine . what is going on i sont understand im in the garage with my wireless connection sending this post...maybe i can get an answer while im here ::) thanks guys

I checked the oil not milky, and no oil in the radiator water. Can someone tell me how I can turn the engine over without the engine starting? I would like to do this to check the radiator pressure.

cool thanks I think i missed a bit on the original post...as one day when i got home i heard a noise from the engine , it was boiling water after inspection i found that the radiator cap was broken. waited for it to cool down then added water and brought a new cap. and then changed oil. I spoke to one guy today who said it will probably be the rubbers on the head, but u cant change them as u need to get the head reconditioned. which is very expensive. He said " dont worry just put in some good " no smoke " which will close the gaps in the rubbers and this will stopthe smoke. From the knowledge i know that no smoke stuff isint that good for the engine. Anyone have any knowledge regarding this.

I recently changed my oil, used MOBIL 1 however then had white smoke coming out of my exhaust and within 2 weeks oil was down. Rang lexus and they said the oil could be too thin and going through pistons, strait through exhaust. So i changed my oil to 15-40 penrite synthetic blend still have smoke Especiialy when cold and seems to go for a while. I dint have this problem before, seems strange, Can anyone advise ...thanks in advance.

They look good :) But i thought it wasnt till 2005 when the new gs300 comes out. Are these lights for the 2003 model gs300 and do they just fit it nice and easy , so we can do it as a DIY.:))

Whats a good engine oil for a 99 twin turbo Aristo ? I dont take mine to lexus anymore, and i want to make sure the mechanic servicing my car uses the right Oil. Is 15/40 ok ? and is there a brand reccomended and is synthetic better ? Thanks B)

okkkkk Got some different pads but made in Malaysia...from an importer. The reasoon i went to change the brake pads was the sweeking noise. When removed brakes found brakes ok..only half used. Hoewever the disks need machining. seems the brakes have grooved into disk. Strange as i did not have this problem at my last brake change, and these were orig. from Lexus. Anyone had similar problems ? thnks

Hi all, On my arsito vertex 99, i suppose on gs300 as well there is a pollen filtre . Can we clean the pollen filtres or should we buy new ones... This is the filtre behind the glove box. new ones cost about $70 aus....the technician from lexus told me they just sanatise them. so i celaned mine once before but read on the UK forum that u can't clean them. ?

Can we get decent Brake pads in Mel or Syd. As the ones i get for my Vertex are the standard GS300 ones from lexus dealers and they make too much dust and are too expensive for what we get $190 or 160 (trade) for front disk pads....cant we get good performance ones anywhere with less dust. Regards
