  1. Hey Loliso. Thx for the input man. I just feel the brake is a bit soft. I know the RX has quite a bit of weight to it, and I had a look at the front brake caliper, Man that thing is big. But though for such a big car it should at least throw in a dual pistons if not a quad pistons caliper. It will in my own opinion give more even bite. I do agree with you that "Less dust" pads may not be a good option. Maybe I will give those Bendix (seems the only ppl make it for RX on the planet) a try like Motor365 said. However, I do read somewhere on the net, that EBC may have pads suited for RX as well. Will see. Cheers Doug. :P
  2. Hi, Could anyone suggest any other brake pad apart form standard pad. I do find stock pads do not BITE (clamp) hard enough... I am looking for something with more bite up front for my RX350 to increase or help it stops better. I mean brand like Ferodo, Endless, Bendix etc etc. Hope to hear any recommendations at all it there are any. Cheers. Doug.
  3. Well...just that you mention it...I do find them (tires) pushes out a bit under the rim or under pressure in a way. I will give the 35psi a try next time I stop at a petrol station. <_< Yeah Taycon....only if I have the camera package on the RX...thx for sharing though. :P

  5. <_< humm...sorry Taycon, I cannot be sure here too..have to see whether there are any ppl here had experience. My RX is still pretty new so cannot comment which is also on the Michellins. Cheers.
  6. :D Fantastic mate. Well good choice IMO...cos i didnt like black that much ...I mean cleaning and maintaining wise, apart form that Black looks the best (in show room). Do u find the rear blind make any noise during travel (on corase surface) or other noises from the rear.....hummm... I reckon RX is pretty cool...sad not many people post on this thread..... ;) Cheers
  7. Taycon, Well I have mentioned some of the problems I found from my RX350, and i would thing RX330 being pretty much the same. Guess check whether it has been Off-Road and I do mean 'OFF-ROAD'. Check under body for scratches. Have a drive and shut off all radion windows etc to listen for any particular inwilling sound you can hear. Like I have posted "The Good & Bad of RX350", check the truck blind for vibration while traveling etc. but still overall I still like the car pretty much, but no noise would be perfect. It is a nice choice. :) Where r u from? US or Aust? Cheers.
  8. <_< Hey people, I am a newbie. Well my family had just bought a RX350. I just wanted to get some information from other owner of RX350 or RX330 of the design of the car itself. I found there are couple of things I didn’t like and some I wanted to see if others have had the same problem as I have. 1.) The 'Fold side mirror' is quite unfriendly as you need to put key and turn before you could fold mirrors up. This is troublesome IMO as most case I left the car then to realise I needed to fold the mirrors, and I had to insert key and turn before I can do anything. 2.) I found even a RAV4 which has a lower ride height than RX has side steps.....then why LEXUS does not even have an option / accessory for the RX. Some of my friends or relatives who considered the car opted to go for others even though the RX is lower than most 4WD, but still a bit higher when compared to a normal sedan. Especially main competitors like X5 and ML both have side steps. 3.) The reverse tail light is too close to the license plate making it not able to give adequate light to either side of the car. What this means is when you reverse (especially parallel parking on side street) even with the mirror tilted, you can see anything at all at the rear or even to see the side curb. I have tried turning dim mirror off and turned the rear fog lamp on and it yielded nothing at all. Therefore is a design issue. 4.) Not sure others have this problem #1. The luggage compartment’s blind / cover make quite some noise when car is in motion. I can see that because the entire designed to be a bit loose as the cover is not rigid, and it will rattle a bit. I am looking for ways to further dampen any movement to it. 5.) Not sure others have this problem #2. I am bring my RX350 back to dealer to check a noise near the over-head handle on the rear roll seat behind the passenger side. The noise seems to come on semi-rough road where the road bitumen is not as smooth (I don’t mean dirt road, basically normal road with coarse bitumen). The sound is more like rubber rubbing against rubber. The sound is not loud but in a silent cabin (apart from the luggage compartment blind) it does get annoying. The noise also seems to come on only when the sun-roof shade / cover is close, so I assume the noise is coming form the cavity the sun-roof cover sits in when open. Or push to the rear. There are not more of those sound as soon as the cover is open or pushed to rear. And again I believe it could be noise coming from some sort of stopper that sits inside to stops the cover going too far into the cavity. I would love to hear others comments or problem they may have. Sorry for the long post. Cheers :P Dicky.
