    Model Year 11

In Europe, the ISF was criticised for being too track-biased (jiggly ride) & slower around key race tracks than the BMW M3 which the Year 11 Revisions have addressed. UK urban roads are heavily repaired after last Winter's severe weather yet the ride/handling is relatively rail-smooth.I drove 70miles in my SEL to change cars & my initial impression, as I left the Dealership, was that the ISF front tyre pressures were too low,the car was vault tight &,as the journey progressed, the ride was bump smooth compared with my Test Drive.(no Motorways). However, when I checked, the garage had set the tyre pressures to 40 psig -----reducing to 36 softened the bump to a patter very similar to my SEL ride. Mates are amazed how smooth it rides compared with their M3 & my impressive mpg that has risen from 18.9 mpg to 23.5mpg over the first 300 miles as I run it in. Tel
  2. Has anyone in the Club driven the latest model with the significantly revised suspension, which IMHO, has made the ride better than my previous 18" IS 250 ? Tel
  3. In the UK we tend to "get" our Mods from Lexus GB or Lexus USA but would love to know whats available in Japan. As you are relatively close I am surprised you guys don't shop there. Any reason? Tel
  4. If the washer removal has been missed on your car(?) then you simply remove the seat rail plastic covers & then take-out the seat mounting bolts BUT the seat is very heavy & has to be electrically disconnected if required------the Dealer can so easily check assuming he has not already done so. Tel
  5. The rougue washers are fitted in between the seat floor bolts causing the seat to "rattle &/or creek":known fix in the UK. Tel
  6. Seat Rattles are due to nylon mounting washers being left in by the Factory:The "Fix" is simple removal. Tel
  7. Hi, Why do you not buy from Japan where there is a far wider choice of kit for the new IS? Guess its price & shipping costs--please confirm. Tel
  8. Just to let you know, here in the UK, the 16" wheeled cars are as rare as hens teeth & the vast majority of new IS's are on 17" whilst there are 3 x 18" OEM options which really do fill the wheel arches particularly when fitted with mud-flaps. The Sport rides 13mm. lower but the visual difference between my SEL-AUTO/18" Hoshis (with Flaps) & the 18" Sport set-up is neglible whilst the 18" Ride is actually smoother than the std. 17". A few people across the UK/USA have changed to 19" Set-ups & ,interestingly, overall wheel/tyre diams. hardly change; using OEM kit so Lock & Speedo accuracy is not affected. What does change, ofcourse,is the amount of wheel in the arch which makes the visual impact SO much better. @ New-Car Purchase the 18" option, in lieu of 17",is £1250 for 5 wheel/tyres as the spare is different.
