  1. I have the OEM owners manual and installation guide in front of me and the operating temp says minus 15 to 70. I have attached the layout of the components - hope it helps.
  2. Art - to check just open the front passenger door. There is a sticker low down that has colour code. Check it against the colour code on Sewell's website. For people with black the code changed for the 2007 onwards from 202 (Onyx) to 212 (Obsidian) although Lexus Aust. still refer to it on their website/brochure as Onyx - it is definitely Obsidian 07 on. Also, anybody buying from Sewell you can always use the promotion code CLUBLEXUS to get a discount. The IS F spoiler is $374 (USD) instead of $425.
  3. Welcome sipit, good choice in buying an IS250. Differences with the X over the Prestige Two limited edition colours – Arctic Blue and Vermilion (also available in Black) * sports suspension * 14-speaker Mark Levinson stereo system * sunroof * satellite navigation * rear view camera * Bluetooth handsfree * smooth leather seats (Note: misses out on the heating and cooling) * sports pedals * metallic scuff plates * unique five-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels * and the all important ’X’ badging Other point to know: Available only with black interior (which I would have chosen anyway). Since I bought an X my opinion is biased, but well worth it in my opinion. Also note that you can option the Prestige with the Stereo/Sunroof/Rear view camera and Bluetooth, so main differences will then be wheels, suspension and seats.

  5. Not me, my car stayed locked away in the garage today. Doesn't go out all that often. Used it for a wedding (groom and best man, not bride) - with ribbon and all last Sunday. Expected to see a spotted post for sure... Spent hours cleaning it - then it rained...hard, so no good pics.
  6. The lower part of the box just has extra hole (facing the front of the car), and is smoother on the inside, other than that it is pretty much the same shape as the original one. The top part or the box retains the existing part. So it is no more suitable for a pod than the original.
  7. With the Paris motor show beginning today some pics of the IS250C have appeared before the doors have opened... Carscoop and Club Lexus IS250C So is anyone here considering one? What do you guys think of it?
  8. I will take some better shots on the weekend, but until then here is all I took during the install of the intake Intake parts - prior to installing Intake installed - before putting engine cover back on.
  9. I might have a couple of shots of the intake still on the camera that are OK that I will put up tonight. I will take some more on the weekend.
  10. heard it went well but the cost was a little more than expected due to customs It went relatively well. We got the goods in about a week, and had online tracking which we all checked regularly. Customs was $470 for about $3000 in parts. All parts were well packaged, and all arrived at my place 2 massive boxes in perfect condition. With customs, delivery and parts, one of the other members got the full kit delivered for almost smack on $1000. I got the full kit and a couple of extra goodies (F-Sport intake, and Lexus lock nuts) for about $1500 all up. I installed all parts myself so I was happy with the price I paid. Loving the F-Sport intake... I notice that Sewell has further discounted the kit, but that's the way it goes.
  11. This page on Whereis shows that sales are suspended for some vehicles as version 15 is coming soon - but not for Lexus. Whereis Like you pygothian my house number isn't on v14 and I have been here for over 4 years. It also shows a roundabout where there are lights near my house (roundabout was replaced at least 4 years ago).
  12. I use this one and would highly recommend it. Monster: MOH005 Good fit, can close the console and keep your iPod and cables hidden at all times. Plugs into the bottom of your iPod and then has a line out. Has 3 stage LEDs to show charging status. I picked it up off ebay new for about $30. Try US ebay also, some cheap ones there. Here is what it looks like in the console
  13. You can use a program to make a DVD-A (such as DVDAGUI), but it converts your mp3s to wav which kind of negates the extra space a DVD will give you since a wav file will be much larger then the original mp3. Stick with mp3 CDs (you can use all 6 slots in the changer for CD mp3s). However, I would suggest using an mp3 player, such as an iPod connected to your AUX port to save burning and re-burning all the time.
  14. I bought a can of this: Sonax - Wheel Rim Coating about 2 weeks ago, but haven't tried it yet since it has been raining every time I have attempted to wash the car since. Will hopefully try it this weekend.
