  1. You bet they are. It like only NSW and is it Melbourne they are not. NZ is all good. I am however in Auckland, Howick way for those of you that don't know.
  2. I am looking at purchasing a Bel RX65 radar detector with a few friends also interested. I have not officially decided whether to purchase from NZ or US yet. I have been offered big discount from Radar Direct for multiple purchase. If anyone is interested in any radar either PM me or txt me on 021 480560 with what model you would like. I have been offered RX65 for $720 each. Currently looking at 4 of us, the more the better. Stephen.
  3. Bro sorry to hear about that. Do you think maybe should have gone and got those new brake pads a lil earlier? Sorry man don't mean to joke! Hope you ok after it all! Stephen. :(
  4. It has been so long since i looked at all the V-TEC technology. But what I can tell you is that after 2 years of having a V-TEC it does have greater kick than the 3S-GE, in saying that I did have full extractor exhaust system fitted. The other thing you will notice is that when you hit V-TEC (in my case 4500RPM) you will notice noise increase and higher octive. The best part is with after marked exhaust you have substantial noise gain and at quiet a nice frequency! It is the one thing that i do miss, the Altezza's just dont have the same frequency change :( Check out www.honda.co.nz for link to iV-TEC technical info.
  5. Now that is so true, who needs a girl when you got that in your garage! The steroids obviously do the trick.
  6. In regard the rear speakers. I have the install all complete now! Nice tidy job and sounds not to bad. Lil more intense than the factory, hehehe. The 6x9 basically bolted straight in from what i can tell. Just the screws are in dif location now . The factory grill and all are still in place also. I don't believe all cars will have the heat button for the seats. Isnt this just a Lexus option?
  7. Honda's aint that bad! I drove a V-Tec for couple years, shat on most things. Def faster than the Altezza but looks are much better now. LOL
  8. That there would be correct. The factory unit does not have RCA outs so it a lil more fun to add amps and subs. There are a couple places you can get dash adaptors for the head unit. Matt Lai can get you one at factory colour, or othewise I got mine thru Installer Services New Market. It not factory coloue but it works fine. Stephen.
  9. I actually wouldnt know what kind it is. Will have to ask. I think it 3.0L and 6 cyl! Auto 3 stage. Looks nice tho, and the sound gear really has been presented nicely. The only real driven it gets these days is the odd trip down country to Taupo. Driven round Auckland is limited as he does have company vehicle. It is also lowered on KYB suspension. Stephen.
  10. I am aware of a Chaser (with Lexus badges) for sale. If anyone on LOC is interested let me know. The car looks nice, it is virtually stock on external appearance apart from the Chrome's and the Muffler. The sounds just go off tho. This is virtually a show car (and would look good next to Boothy V8). Some specs listed below and the pics are posted in the gallery. Engine: 2JZGE 3.0L 6 CYL Auto POD Filter mounted behind bumper Mean specs on sound with in-dash 7" screen and 2 x head rest 7" screens Subs well presented in boot, with couple amps presented behind glass tank and bubbles! A 120GB X-Box is also included. http://www.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/locnz/Overview http://www.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/locnz/Amps Thanx stephen.
  11. I had a look at replacing rear speakers last nite, gave that a miss and looked at the front. It is all to time consuming and at 9pm especially when you dont have any tools to make any adaptors anyway. I have given it a miss, as I was only trying to speed things up. It's goes in the morning to Installer Services New Market to get all fitted anyway. You can get to rear speakers, just the plastic moulding (top plate) does have to be broken from the secured platform. I have a CQ-C9800U head unit (70W x 4) and then have some cheap speakers to run just so that i dont blow the factory ones. Don't have any money for the real stuff yet. Will let you know how it all goes. Stephen.
  12. Nokia 7250I Great phone. 4MB memory and reasonable photo quality for a cell phone. Best of all it Vodafone.
  13. I am about to replace speakers in car. I am trying to start the ball rolling before it goes in to get professionally done. Does any1 know what size speakers are mounted in the rear? Are they 6x9's or 5x7's? How do you actually get to them? Thanx Stephen.
  14. That sounds like one mean ride Shaun. Gotta see it some time. I have seen one with 280T as p/plates on Ti Irirangi drive one day, think it was yellow. Wasnt you was it? Well anyways sound mint mate. Stephen.
  15. You can purchase any head unit you would like. Beware that you have to consider the power rating of the speakers tho. I have just purchased the new panasonic head unit (70w x 4), and will be replacing the speakers at the same time. The factory speakers appear to be rated at 15-25W dependant on how many Ohms you are running! From my understanding the set-up of the Altezza stereo is a lil funny also. I am not going to be taking any chances. I have heard word that the wiring is a lil funny, this does not surprise as I changed head unit in my mums Paseo today and that wiring was tad strange! If you want a good deal for install, If you in Akl I will be using a mate of my brothers. Contact Dave at Installer Services in New Market. He will be able to get dash adaptor and install for great price. Stephen.
