  1. Try Advanced Ice in Brisbane. Link They can source a Prestigious Society nav override unit and suggest an installer
  2. The brand is irrelevant really as long as you stick with the correct viscosity and really boils down to personal preference. The 2010 RX requires 10W30 or 10W40 oil. I personally use AMSoil Series 3000 5W30 in my current (and previous) RX as it has a high TBN and HTHS. Oil analysis on my previous engine showed no wear. As long as you use the correct viscosity, Mobil 1 should be fine.

  10. Try Final Inspection. While I am no fan of the owner, they do good work. Just don't fall into his "I'm the greatest" BS.
  11. I have had every generation of RX (RX330 and 2 x RX350) and the only time I have ever seen a shiny dash is after someone has used Armor All, Vinylex or some other "shiny" interior spray on it in an attempt to "protect" the dash so I find this quite strange.
  12. Never seen a dashmat for an RX. The dash isn't normally shiny. Try this: 1. Strip off whatever protectant has been used on the dash with Isopropyl Alcohol (try it on a small obscure portion first to make sure it doesn't damage the plastic); 2. Throw away anything with the name Armor All on it; 3. Purchase some Einszett Cockpit Premium or 303 Aerospace Protectant; 4. Spray on a microfibre cloth and wipe down the dash to a nice Matt finish
  13. Thanks. Thundercloud grille from a US model
  14. I've had this bar on both my RX330 and RX350.
  15. I mentioned Matador because they supplied and fitted my TJM Nudge Bar several years ago
  16. TJM make a Nudge Bar for the RX (I have one on mine). Try Matador Bullbars on 02 9899 9461
  17. Hard to judge an entire sales team on an encounter with one sales person. I happen to know a few of the sales reps at each dealership and I can tell you each dealership has a mix. There are people that know there stuff in relation to Lexus product knowledge and have a genuine want to do the right thing for you at each dealership. However each sales team also has members that wouldn't know half the stuff you guys know. A good question to ask a sales exec is how long they've been at the dealership. The good ones usually stay in one place longer..the others tend to bounce around. I deal with the GM Sales at Lexus Parramatta. Good guy
  18. Have used Sydney City Lexus, Lexus of Parramatta and Lexus of Chatswood. My experience with Sales and Service in rank order as follows: Sales 1. Lexus of Parramatta 2. Sydney City Lexus 3. Lexus of Chatswood Service 1. Lexus of Parramatta 2. Lexus of Chatswood 3. Sydney City Lexus Ultimately, the less than sterling Sales experience at Lexus Chatswood combined with the good but not as good as Parramatta service experience has meant that I have purchased 4 Lexus from Parramatta in 11 years. Sydny City Lexus service was simply abysmal however the Sales team were OK.
  19. I had a 2003 RX330 (March 2003) until Jan 2007 when I traded it on a 2006 RX350. The only issues I have had with either vehicle have been the passenger side carpet wearing through at a single location (mats rubbing against it - replaced under warranty) on the RX330 and spongy brakes on the Rx350 (entire system replaced by Lexus under Warranty). No squeeks, rattles, breakdowns etc whatsoever. Contrary to k2sty1's experience with Lexus of Parramatta, I've had excellent service from them since 1999 and very very average service from Lexus of Chatswood. Lexus Parra simply can't do enough for me and I'm now waiting on delivery of my 2010 RX350 Sports Luxury with ML. This is why I have purchased 4 Lexus from them since 1999 even though I live on the North Shore. The RX330 has adequate power and the RX350 simply has more than adequate power. Buy either one with confidence but do the usual checks as you would with any used vehicle.
  20. If you want to get really serious: Wash Clay Bar Correct Imperfections Seal Wax I would suggest you stick with the Wash, Clay Bar and Wax initially.
  21. what the hell does that thing do? Similar to the Prestigious Society unit, it overrides the Nav/Bluetooth lockouts by convincing the vehicle that it is stationary. Works a treat. This one doesn't seem to fit the RX though. This ebay vendor is a pretty good guy (I've bought a few things from him) so if unsure, ask him.
  22. There are lots of good waxes and ultimately it will depend on how much you want to spend. Meguiars and Mothers are good mid-range products. Dodo, Swissvax, Pinnacle, Chemical Guys, Zymol are all high end waxes. Swissvax make a specific wax for Japanese Paints called Samurai @$129
