  1. ilv1004s - I've been 100% happy with Lexus' service until this, they have been (and still remain) number one in terms of after sales service for me. FrankyX - Agree with you completely there, that's why I don't wish to name the dealership as one persons mistake shouldn't cost the whole dealership. kinjiru - Yup, i'd say it was a one off but.... ghast - Sounds all too familiar mate. Pity too, Lexus are usually pretty good in terms of their organisation, never had a problem with arrangments made towards servicing, requests were carried out accordingly and courtesy cars were always on hand.
  2. Look i've been all for Lexus' service up until just these past few weeks where Lexus has greatly failed when it came to arranging an IS-F to drive. Quite frankly, i'm a huge Lexus fan owning two cars from them but this stuff up has just burnt a hole in what was a perfect white sheet of paper. In any case, this is what's happened so far, Lexus Australia had contacted me regarding the arrangment of an IS-F test drive at my local dealer. A date was set on a Saturday (1st Nov) at what was supposed to be 11am. Lexus Australia said my local dealer would contact me with final arrangements. During the week Lexus failed to call, even after numerous messages were left right up until the SATURDAY MORNING as the continuous message given to me was that the gentleman that handles the IS-F would contact me. So come Saturday morning still looking for that confirmation on the IS-F I FINALLY get a call to tell me this - NO BLOODY IS-F. The best he has to offer me is "come into the showroom I have one on display". At this point in time, as you can imagine, aggrevation has kicked in. In any case, I was offered a drive on Tuesday however the following Saturday (8th Nov) suited me better due to time restraints. Guess what happened, no phone call. Brilliant. Lexus left a message this week on Thursday (yesterday, 13th Nov) and upon trying to contact Lexus, we're back to square one. As far as i'm concerned, Lexus aren't going to get a sale that's for sure. Recently took the Maserati GranTurismo out which as impressive as it is, the C63 AMG outperforms for half the price and i'm happy to have placed an order on the C63. (Excuse the use of hyphen's in "IS-F")
  3. RX330 - Tint (front - to match the privacy tint), rear cargo mat. IS250 - Demonstration on how to close the bonnet lol
  4. Hmm they look pretty good. Did you have to bake your headlights? If so, how hot and how long? I don't think I could do it :P At that kind of temperature, what kind of light throw do you get?
  5. You probably should have read the date of the last reply.. That and you probably also should have read the thread as this method only works on the 2006 models. The topic creator has bought a 07/08 model. With regards to getting rid of the I Agree screen, placing a V14 nav disc into a the IS250 (Gen 5) doesn't seem to remove it like has been reported in overseas models.
  6. That would be the IS220d and i doubt it. This is Lexus' first diesel engine and I think it hurts their image a bit even though it is a good engine. There's really just not enough market here as for example, you'll see a lot more 320i's than you do 320d's even though the 320d is a better engine overall.
  7. mmmm yeah although the rattles may just have not "kicked in" lol. In seems that as you run in the car, you also run in the rattles... :( Also i should clarify, the pockets on the rear seats are different to the previous IS250's. You'll find in the '06-'07's the rear pockets are basically hard plastic slabs that have a wide piece of elastic on each side pulling it towards the back of the seat. The new ones are actually "pockets". They're just an extra piece of material sewn on at each side and underneath to the back of the chair forming a "pocket".
  8. So i got a loaner '08 when the RX got serviced. Some interesting differences, it seems that Australia has finally gotten the option to have the doors automatically lock on take off (this has been available to overseas buyers since day one) [On take off - ie above 10km/h as i am aware that there are other options to have the doors automatically lock]. There is more leg room in the rear seats however the difference is quite minimal. Rear seats have pockets. Steering felt the same although it has been reported to be firmer. That's about it really. Come to think of it, i'm not sure if the 16" wheels are now of the liquid graphite type - they kinda looked dirty - but the rest of the car was clean so maybe even the 16" wheels get the new finish (my guess is that the new finish is to hide the dusty brake pads [pre-TSIB]). And i think that's about it. (Car only had 2000km on it, lost most of the 'new car' smell and had a near silent exhaust. There was also a COMPLETE lack of ANY rattles or creaking around panels.)
  9. I hope you're still looking for an answer because i got mine fixed a couple of weeks ago. Just told the dealer about it, he didn't sound surprised about it (seems like a common problem) and then it was fixed! See attachment. NV001_06___Front_Seat_Squeak_Noise.pdf
