  1. The M/L unit can play MP3 burnt onto a DVD. 4.7Gb of MP3 goodness. Also plays movie DVD.. but who uses that feature??? Better off going home and watching it!
  2. Except that HID on the Prestige means that it's: 1) not road legal (then implications that go along with it such as insurance, fines, etc) 2) more than likely increase glare to oncoming traffic.
  3. Just remember the car has to be delivered before June 30 for the lower LCT amount. After that, you'll pay an extra 8% over the LCT threshold. Wouldn't haggle too long.
  4. The 20% claim is a little bit far fetched. Sure if it was a 450h, you'd definitely get Australian pricing but the 430 wouldn't be worth much less than the Australian model. The only big obvious changes would be the indicator stalk on the left, speedo with mph reading and the navi unit (and other stuff depending on what grade you have) I wouldn't let the navi unit stop you from bringing the car to Aust. Put it this way, even if you sell it for $60k, you'd be ahead of the game. Of course if you're doing it as a money making exercise, then there's plenty of M cars (M3, M5 etc) you could bring back which will command a lot of $$.
  5. Sorry for the late reply, but the answer is no. The European disc is complied by Aisin and the Australian ones are Denso/Sensis. I tried popping in Denso disc into the UK audio and it doesn't recognise it. Not the answer you want to hear but that's what it is. The upside of using the UK audio is that the radio station names as well as the frequency will appear whereas the Australian audio unit only shows the frequency.
  6. Asbestos has been banned since 2003-2004 by legislation... it is a known carcinogen The brakes have a lot of carbon content because these pads are the same pads used in Europe where brakes need to perform at a certain level in sub zero conditions. Yes they are high performance pads but these pads have the same properties you'll find on any European spec'ed vehicles. Yes it's annoying but put it this way, which would you rather? Better braking performance or clean wheels?
  7. You can turn off the rear guide assist lines ... I prefer them on rather them off but I guess I'm used to seeing the lines and using them.
  8. Have they tried one out? At least the radios work in Australia but the disc "should" work. Edit: Actually, I've seen at RX400h from the UK work in Australia... not sure if it helps
  9. Would you guys consider Alfa, Saab and Volvo to also be on your shopping list when you guys looked for an IS250? Oh I wish that the IS220d came in though... but it only comes in a manual I've heard... or better still IS350... *drool drool*
  10. When the radio announces something, of course it will never be the same temperature as what it says on the car. Temperature measurements vary from place to place even if it is in the same suburb.
  11. It seems to work on at least the current Aurion with Sat Nav. But whatever... choose to try it and see if it works or just say it won't work without trying.
  12. Save your money boys and girls... This works.. ;) Just have to do it everytime you start the car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLFDvaeT7NA
