  1. I second Jaspers suggestion of playing The Crystal Method in the ML system. Its not unusual to hear me playing The Crystal Methods "Name of the Game" at 45+ with the windows up. A Lexus, ML sound system and a quality artist is all you need to reach great heights! - Do it!
  2. Some may have seen these photos before - but here you go - Not mobile photos, but certainly not professional! Had the IS250 (Sports Luxury) for 3mths now and still luving it!
  3. Just to keep everyone informed - my Nokia 6233 works well (autodetects on entry and very clear reception) with my IS250 '07 but i cant upload my contacts to the car's memory. The dealer offered to upload the contacts but i'd prefer to keep them all on the phone anyway. Same with my wifes Nokia N95 - the phone works well but again cant upload the contacts into the car. Word of warning/funny story though - recently i was standing outside the idling car (having returned after leaving it on with the wife and kids in the car - keeping them warm in a cold night) and made a call from the mobile phone when i returned to the family (while standing outside the vehicle) and couldn't work out why the person on the other end wouldn't answer even though the call was "connected". Standing with my wife outside the car we realised that the person we called was actually on the line repeatedly saying "hello" to which the kids in the car (aged 2 and 4) were replying "hello" – but I couldn't hear anything through the mobile handset! Mental note to self - "when within bluetooth connection distance - sit in the car" Boeky
  4. Although im not a heavy poster (ive only had my IS250 a few months), id hate to see the forum deteriorate and have been happy to see the increase in contributions recently. I like the photoshoot idea. I'd also be keen to buy a LexusOwner'sClub sticker or equivalent. I think some postings containing links of our IS's in action on YouTube would also be good.I'd be happy to contribute when I can. Boeky72 See below my IS250 "on location"
  5. I've tried a number of times to burn a DVD-R loaded with MP3's and had no success. I dont think its possible. If anyone's got any tips, i'd be happy to hear them. I concur with the DVD comment - ive never used the DVD feature to watch movies.
  6. As part of my research into buying a Lexus (and curious about "Park Assist"), i found the following Top Gear video in You Tube - it's obviously staged but still quite funny Lexus park assist Boeky
  7. Name: Troy City: Perth Ride: 07 Lexus IS250 Sport Luxury (Onyx) - Wife/Family - Honda CRV Sport Duration: 1 week Persuasion: Not planning on doing any mods - its got everything i could possibly wan! not really into the mod scene Comments: Luv it so far - only just worked out how to unlock all the doors with the central locking! - Lexus of Perth is a great showroom!
  8. Hi I am the proud new owner of a Lexus IS250 Sport Luxury demo (19,000km) that I bought from Lexus of Perth. I ended up purchasing the IS250 after also considering the BMW 325, Audi A4 and Volvo S80. Test-driving the BMW 325 and 320 was less than exhilarating and although I like the exterior styling, the interior looks old-fashioned and impractical. The IS250 on the other hand is sophisticated, smooth, quiet and modern (with all the flash Sat Nav, Mark Levinson sound system, steering wheel gear shift, park assist etc). The new Lexus showroom in Osborne Park is magnificent! The Lexus sales guy (Matthew) was helpful, knowledgeable, down to earth and not pushy (unlike the BMW crew). I settled on the used car (only driven by Lexus employees) because I could afford my preferred model (Sports Luxury) and I figured they would have fixed any niggling sound/rattling issues that I've read about IS250. Even though I've only had the vehicle for less than one week, I've only got positive things to say about the whole Lexus "driving experience" and my experience with Lexus of Perth. Anyway, I look forward to contributing to the Aust Lexus Owners Club Forum and as my first offering here is the gift ("free goodies") that I received upon purchase – It was a great three tier box set with champagne, two glasses, chocolates and nibbles. The gift was completely unexpected and very considerate. See attached photos of the gift ( i think they're attached?). At the moment I thoroughly recommend the IS250 and Lexus of Perth as a dealership. Boeky
