  1. ProjectIS, I gave him a call a couple of days ago - nice guy. I explained what had happened. He didnt see any issues getting it back to near perfect but is booked up to Christmas. Im away early Jan so we agreed Id give him a call mid Jan to book him. I'll let you know how it all goes.
  2. I guess mine must be painted alloys - after 18 months I finally rubbed a gutter today. I guess it had to happen some time. I rubbed away the rough bit with wet and dry but there seems to be a black layer under the silver finish. They are stock wheels for the 250X. No real damage now - just an ugly black mark on the surface of the wheel which I need to get rid of. May have to pay someone to do it. ProjectIS can you send me the contact details for the guy that did yours?
  3. I'm another fan of Chatswood. I had my 15K service done there and they did a great job. I decided not to go back to Sutherland when they scratched my car during a minor, post purchase service. They did a good job having the scratches repaired but I would have preferred them not to have been there in the first place.
  4. It definitely doesnt happen to me. Though I think Ive noticed after my first service that all my gears are held a bit longer and it is a fair bit harder to get from 5th to 6th. Net result is noticeably lower fuel economy around town. Is it possible that something was done during the service that could have changed the points at which the transmission changes gears?
  5. Wouldnt any benefit form putting them in the freezer be short term ie when they warm up they will become faulty again?
