  1. Sorry for the delay, here is the online manual: http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/
  2. Full exel back? how much do you want for it?
  3. i dont knowi of anyone who has used a cheap chip. from what i know there is no chip mod available only ecu add-ons like the apexi safc-II and power fc.
  4. i have a grom unit and the second gen units are quite good, they support mp3 via any usb storage device, including a phone in mass storage mode. aux in via 3.5mm stereo jack and ipod. it can be selected between modes, sounds better then cd and works well. very occasional freezes but then again i run 320k mp3's, all it requires is to be reset (power off and on). all in all for the price it's a fantastic solution, i have a 120gb hdd with hours worth of music and i find myself never using the radio or cd anymore :)
  5. from what i know of these it is simply a resistor or sorts that changes what your air flow meter reads forcing the ecu to pump more fuel, it's not that simple to get better performance however. The only two simple options i know of are the Apexi power FC or SAFC II. these both allow a programmable fuel mapping and will get better economy and performance. ask yourself "if it seems to good to be true, can it really be true" especially for that price! i'd be very wary of it. do they warrant any damages to your ecu as a result of this cheap device shorting out or damaging your cars ecu?
  6. i went to the local lexus dealer and got a photocopy of the 5 or so pages showing all ecu wiring and some additional explaination fo what values to expect at certain pins. I will make a pdf copy of it when i get back to work, let me know if you need a copy and i'll be glad to send it on.
  7. its bucks but worth it. easiest way to go is a 2jz VVTI SINGLE turbo!!! the twins dont really fit and to get mine passed the engine mounts were offset on the front. have you got an auto or a manual is200? if manual get a vvti single turbo 1jz or a single turbo 2jz with an R154 gearbox (the 160 from the new supra doesnt fit with out some bashing) you can make the computers work together (you need both) im still having a few issues with AC trigger but im working on that this weekend if you get a 1jz make sure you find a front sump for it (get a chaser halfcut and then find a front sump and bolt on) as i needs to fit over the crossmember "whatthe" on toymods has had a really nice one in the passed making 300RWKWs in short, motor, gearbox, 1jz ecu, intercooler, mounts, front sump, swearing but leading to awesome. haha mine has a 1jz twin turbo from a JZA70 half cut - the older ones have stronger internals so if you go a single turbo setup on it will make nice power - i had to leave mine stock to get it passed in sa other wise i would have had jza70 halfcut, a haltech ecu, single turbo (gt35r), also getting hipermax II's for it soon so it will be kickass spent about $3500 (halfcut), $2000 (parts and stuff), mate helped me so it was about $1600 in labor) hope this helps! Hi all I am also new to this site and am in the same position i have a 2000 IS200 stock, Auto. I want to do a manual conversion and make it a turbo. What advice can you give me? I also dont know a huge ammount about cars. Anything would be much appreciated. LOL ok i will tell you this but only because it has godo shock value...i priced a 2j crate motor from lexus, even the lexus guy found it hard to tell me.... ...... brand new...... $24000! yes $24K, that's whay my is cost me! lol
  8. i am considering this myself, let me know what you find out please :) i saw a manual box going for 1200 pounds in the uk, would cost quite a bit to ship it hear. i think the supra box might be an option from what i have read.
  9. bugger i just got an exhaust. so it's an axel back? from the resonator back to tip including rear muffler?
  10. Hi guys, need a wiring diagram and/or fitment instructions to fit Apexi S-AFCII to IS200 2003 auto. Been trolling the net and can;t find anything that matches and gives me all pinoutsw required for this install.
  11. what were the pinouts? i am trying to fit an safc II to my 03 auto is200. pins required are: Connect the red wire to the power supply. Connect the green wire to the engine rpm signal wire. Connect the gray wire to the throttle signal wire. Connect the black wire to the ground wire. Connect brown wire to the ground wire. Connect the purple wire to the knocking signal wire ・・・※ ※For models with a single knocking wire. Connect the purple wire directly to the knocking signal wire. ※For models with multiple knocking wires (knocking signal 1, knocking signal 2, ・・・) Refer to page 11 without making any connection at this time.

  14. Hi Chris, i have a set of stock springs if you want them.
  15. I was BP Ultimate all the way but lately i have been running Shell VPower and i have to say it is my new number one, as much as i hate running shell fuel it is the best performance. BP is close second, lets hope they do some development on it soon. If i have to Caltex Vortex fuel is my next choice.
  16. IMO Shell is the worst fuel on the market, always has been. I use BP Ultimate and no other in any of my cars, i will even run them empty and drive past several servo's to find a BP.
  17. i had bad lag and realised my throttle cable was loose and needed adjusting. check this first it may be your issue i have exact same model with auto. the response is almost instant now that i have wound up the adjuster on the throttle ;)
