  1. Hey icefirehk, can you let us know what trade-in you got for the IS250? Also, what year/kms/grade. I've got a 2008 Sports and I'm kinda thinking about a 350 =) What's this corparate program btw?
  2. I get the "shiver" all the time - maybe even a couple of times in a day. Lexus service guy said that it was the thermo fan kicking in (which means more load on the alternator, making the revs drop momentarily). BUT - my revs drop all the way down to almost 500 rpm, which is basically stalling the engine, and results in quite a pronounced shaking action making the whole car shiver. The odd part is that it pretty much only happens at two points in time: 1) Straight away after I've braked to a full stop, but braking a little more firmly than usual. (Not HARD braking by the way, but a bit more than average) 2) OR, several seconds after I've come to a stop, after braking as above. It "feels" like a fuel starvation issue - you know, fuel slopping around the tank and not being picked up by the fuel pump - but that shouldn't be possible with modern fuel systems, and regardless, happens to me even with a full tank.
  3. I'm happy, my spoiler arrived yesterday! Ordered Thursday, arrived Tuesday. I've decided to try to get it properly installed, but due to travel commitments its going to be 2 weeks before I get around to this. The only (minor) problem is the spoiler didn't come with the stencil of where to put the holes in the bootlid, but I'm hoping it uses the same ones as what the factory option spoiler would....
  4. Lexus will give you a list of approved repairers; not many shops get approved and from experience (in Melb) they'll do great quality work and treat you well. The bad news is I've also got the Pearl White and unless it can buff out, they might have to respray a large section of the car since its a very hard colour to match. Its a 3-layer pearl so they have to add quite a thick amount of paint.... first time will be ok but with more repairs you run the risk of "orange peel". Good news is you'd be surprised what can buff out =) Hopefully you're insured, if it needs paint then just go through insurance and pay the excess.
  5. Thanks Franky! Hey, I had a quick chat to Lexus today (local price for the spoiler is ~$750) and they pointed out that the IS-F spoiler could block visibility of the high-mount stop light. Just wanted to see if this is the case with yours?
  6. Hey, nice work! Exactly what I've been wanting to do, and I've already done the lights =) So I'd like to ask, where and how much for the IS-F spoiler?
  7. I had the same problem, bought some "IS-F" lights from ilv1004s on here... turned out to be the Eagle Eyes (or similar) lights. BEWARE!!.... if your ABS and traction lights are illuminated, then ALL your safety systems are totally disabled right now. NO ABS (scary in the wet!), no stability or traction control (fun in the dry) I fixed this problem by fitting resistors into the wiring before the lights (a mate did all the hard work).... from memory they were 27ohm 5 watt resistors from Jaycar Electronics.... (they look like a long ceramic rectangular block with a thick wire at each end). Took a bit of trial and error to work out which two wires to connect the resistors to, in one configuration everything looked ok, but using the indicators made the brake lights go on, etc.
  8. Whereabouts did you see the white one? Mine's white, looks mad in the sun with the metallic flake in the paint =)
