  1. Thanks for the replies Peter and Danny. While I'll definitely ask Lexus for their recommendation, although I sort of know what it will be, I personally don't think that the oil should be an issue. It is not being stressed with the car not being used frequently, and it should not go off for a few years I'm assuming.
  2. Morning all, So my dilemma is as follows... I bought my car, new, in December 2008. Service intervals as you know are 15000 km or 12 months (whichever occurs first). First service was done at 15000 around August 2009. Second service was done late March 2010 at 30000. Third service was done late March 2011, was around the 45000 km mark if I'm not mistaken. Fourth service was done again late March 2012. I think the car had around 55000 km on the odometer then. I didn't question why it needed servicing then but I just accepted the booking from the dealership. Now, the odometer is way under 75000 km. It will be a year since the last service soon, BUT it won't be 60 months since the car was bought. Since the service book says 75000/60 months, do you think I should wait until I hit one of these markers to send my car for its scheduled service, rather than having it done at the end of this month? I'm only driving the car once or twice every 2-3 weeks at the moment. I'm fully aware of the passionate debate around servicing intervals in a previous thread, so would appreciate keeping the discussion to the question. Cheers
  3. Many thanks to Chris for organising this cruise and to Atlantis for hosting us. Also thanks to isi250 (x2) and k2sty1 for the great company. I ended up going to Blues Point afterwards, and I think we could have all gone there as there were two other IS250s at the reserve. An impromptu meeting! P.S. We should probably plan more activities for the next cruise; jumping castles, face painting, etc.. ;)
  4. I'm in. Will be putting the invites on the windscreens of the 3 other IS250s at my workplace tomorrow. Hopefully it's not too late for them to join the forum/cruise. Is there a plan B in case of bad weather?
  5. Thanks for the info LN. Will ring them up and see what they say too.
  6. Hiya, Am wondering if I can leave it til the car is serviced late next month? I'm only using the car once a week at most these days. Opinions? Anyone can guesstimate what percentage of the recalled cars will have the loose fuel pressure sensor? Cheers
  7. Mine costed me close to $700 (Lindt chocolates inclusive). I also found that to be quite steep, but maybe it's just me being a student again after several years of full-time employment! Apart from the usual inspections (radiator system, tyres and wheels, fuel system, etc.), the engine and differential oils were changed, as well as the oil filter, brake fluid, and the pollen filter. Washer additive was a bargain at 97c! I will definitely follow FrankyX's advice and ring around next time.
  8. Hiya all, Took some photos when I went last Sunday to the raceway, which I thought are worth sharing. I only managed to watch the GT and Production Cars races, and both were awesome. The Safety Car spent almost half of the races' times on the track and was mentioned by the commentators more than a hundred times. No complaints from me on that one! Hope you enjoy.
  9. Am I still the only one who went for gold?! C'mon boys and girls, vote GOLD. It should look good next to the gold "Sydney City Lexus" I already have. I also prefer it to be from the inside. Got no tint yet so won't have a problem with that.
  10. I wouldn't worry about the RFs and the pacemaker, your excitement seems more than enough to me! Congratulations and good luck.
  11. I think I'll be the only one with the stock Lex! Ah well, at least we can then really appreciate the differences before and after ;)
