  1. I have a couple of questions regarding some mods i am thinking of doing to my IS 200. I am thinking of finaly getting a intake, exhaust and piggy back ecu mod done. This is the current thinking - :D Intake: Toms Super Ram II Cat back Exhaust: Trust Power Extreme II Cat: AVO hiflow cat to suit piping. (Cats are required in Aus) Piggy back ECU: Apexi S-AFC II from reading the forums, i should epect to gain 15Kw's at the fly from these mods, Is this correct? ;) Also Frylai can you price the filter for me? Can someone exlplain how i could benefit from a Prolex vented radiator panel, and doe this fit the IS200
  2. Hi all didn't realise the site was back up been a while but i'm back, hope all are good. Frylai, i take it your still the guy to speak to on getting things!!! My lex was badged last night, and i thought i would take the oppurtunity to buy a new grille, (every cloud has a silver lining). Please let me know if you can get TRD grilles or any other mesh style grill, and current prices. Cheers
  3. In Melbourne we get Lexus / Toyota wash for life. This means for the life of the warranty you can get roll in everyday and get your car washed no need to book its like a carlovers behind the dealership. You drive in stay in the car and they high pressure was it for you in about 3Mins. I go every weekend. They also recycle 90% of the water so no water restrictions excuses.
  4. The guy from autobarn told me they don't have them in stock but can order them in as they are the official distributor. Further he said to wait a while as they would be coming down dramaticly. He was pretty confident it was for IS200 not IS300 but i will check.
  5. Hi all, I am considering purchasing a Blitz supercharge for the IS200. Spoke to a guy from Autobarn who told me that on the hush they would be coming down in price dramaticly. He reckons $4000.00 in a month or so would buy you one. He seemed to think that all Blitz gear would become cheaper. If i went down this track would a SAFC-II be enough to program the system or would i need a Power FC. How much more is an Power FC, i suppose if your going to do more mods its probably best to get a fully programmable independant computer over a piggyback. Thoughts Welcome.
  6. Anything that lowers the rotating mas will make a great difference to kw at the wheels. However they dont increase horses at the engine. rather decrease losses of horses from the engine to the rears. Try a carbon fibre drive shaft, lightened flywheel and racing clutch.
  7. Wer you get those boot kits... Pretty Cool and something different.
  8. Traction controll can be good in the wet but yess it is possible to loose it in the wet with traction on if you whip around the corner pulling lovely g'ss. I typically turn teraction of in the dry, but there is nothing more anoying than going round your favourite bits of road driving hard and seeing the bloody orange light spoiling your fun. Not that i'd ever do that.
  9. Not many actualy do Altezzas or IS's though
  10. I'd be very interested if i had the cash... I am in melbourne and trying to sell my old car mazda mx-6 once i do that i could be interested if its still on the market, but i'd have to make sure it doesn't effect my lease or insurance too negatively.
  11. My understanding is a fuel cut defender will do the trick it just piggy backs the ecu
  12. Where in Melbourne would you go for a kit?
  13. All Premium Fuel and Vortex are 95 RON, Optimax and BP 8000 are 98 (In Aus anyway). I was reccomended by the Lexus dealer not to use Optimax as there are too many cleaning agents in it whislt he said BP 8000 is the better fuel. However my car is new. In a seconed hand car it could be worth useing Optimax every now and again to clean out injectors etc. Quite possibly you got bodgey fuel if tanks were low etc could be dirty. 104+ is just an octane booster you can get from Autobarn. There are other brands aswell. It will raise your 98 Ron to 100+ Ron ouch thatll give you some Octane. LOL
  14. The JDM one is 7" long and the OEM one is 15" Long...if you need an antenna or Dash Tray or anything at all..PM me I will hook you up with the best prices! Matt =)
  15. I read the forum, sounds interesting wonder if they'll make one for the is200 or if its compatable. I like the idea of it looking stock. Does anyone understand how it works an intake with electronic supercharger? Is it one of those ZET thingys: http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=0237
