Had my 30K service done at Blackburn. They are good. Quoted me $638 for the service. Great price. Service advisor rang me at midday to tell me that there were two nails in the left rear tyre. Because they are too close, the tyre couldn't be repaired. I could get away by keep topping up the air as they were only small leaks. However they can replace the tyre for $510. (got quote from beaurepairs $495). So I went ahead with Blackburn, saving a lot of mucking around. also did wheel alignment for $80 and fuel system flush for $99 Pretty good price and professional service. Would recommend to you guys in Melbourne.

No, I should thank you for making it clear for me :P . I didn't say it clear enough. Looking forward to your 'how-to' tutorial. Hopefully it won't be too hard for me to do. Cheers Yes, I got them from Ebay seller "firearm1". Decent quality film but shipping took a a couple weeks. I ordered two pairs because I know I am going to stuff up the first time....hehe

Hey Project IS Thanks for the advice. I have seen the red-out ones. The tint I have got is the pre-cut vinyl overlay. It looks like the window tint material but can expand under heat so there may be some trimming involved in the end. I just thought it would be much easier for me to trim off the excess edges after the expansion with the lenses off. Also I don't want to risk leaving a mark on the paintwork. I remember someone tried to put the clear taillight lenses on their car so surely they have taken the OEM lenses? Anyone?

Alarm?

could it be the garage door? when wind blows at it and the vibration triggered the intrusion sensor? -

Do it before 30 June, they will want to make a deal by the end of the fin yr. I think 50K changeover is very likely. Or come to Melbourne and talk to Simon at Lexus of Blackburn. He offered 63k for my 2008 sports IS250 which had 13000 kms on it. 70K is what I think your trade-in price is. If you can afford, better off getting a brand new ISF. I think we all know how demos are driven good luck!

It definitely looks like sap from a tree. It happened to me once when I had an IS200, to make matters worse it was a 40+ degree day which meant it went the sap went hard on the paint and the car was black also. Took me hours to get it cleaned up, I even resorted to pouring boiling water on it to soften it up. I never parked under that dammed tree again. TLC, tender loving care, most people lavish it on loved ones (humans). I would dare say most of us here would lavish it on our cars... thanks man I tried to clay it off with Maguairs. it didn't work :( Could you tell me how exactly you got it off ? I have a number of these spots on the bonnet thanks

I have a sports model, didn't notice a seat problem except the rubbish & dust tend to settle inside the gap where the fabric pieces joins up. Have you tried adjusting the seat positions/tilt/back support ? That might help a bit. If you cannot sell your car and get a new one, the easy way out I guess is to use a nice pair of seat cover? :( Could also be a good reason to order a pair of Mercedez-Benz sports seats......if they fit of course......

Hey the post on full spray got me to check my paintwork again tonight. I found quite a few little bumps on the bonnett which i cannot buff off. You cannot tell them until you look close up under light and feel like a bubble underneath the paint surface. Please have a look at the pix, has anyone had similar issues? how do i get rid of it? Does warranty cover this ?? thanks guys BTW, has anyone ever found that the brakes are a bit loud when coming to a complete stop. It sounded like a piece of timber is being polished by sandpaper. This is especially noticeably louder in reverse at low speed. Has anyone noticed ? or is it just me?

Hey Last1 I think your might be right, when i applied the wax i let it sit for 3 hrs and wiped off with an old cotton T-shirt. It was very hard to get it off as the wax was pretty thick. that was not my car, i got it from some guy who does a cut & buff and tries to sell his service to me. It looked pretty good though. Is it worthwhile to get it cut & buffed by this guy and paint protected by 'paintprotectiondirect.com.au' guys??
