alright! ill try help you out the best i can 1. heres the link to an install for GROM on an is300 http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=46731 but your dash SHOULD be a bit different to take apart because its is200 to save you the time i took some pictures for you of how you do mine which should be the same basically you just use a trim tool (try a taped up flat blade screw driver if you dont have one) to separate the aircon/tray from the rest of the dash after this you can follow the tutorial, obviously skipping the sat nav wiring bit hopefully thatll help you get that issue sorted 2. no they are not, this will explain (sorry for no link, for some reason it wouldnt let me link it properly) http://tiny.cc/6gqp8 3. this is a DIY on blacking your headlights http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-first-generation/205644-diy-info-black-headlight-mod.html 4. youll find the fuse for the foglights in the passenger side foot area behind the panel there, the back of the cover will tell you which one it is hope this all helps! try looking on ebay and trading sales for people wrecking is300s. chances are youll have to get it resprayed but cheaper than going to lexus and ordering it

thanks for the reply and link, sounds pretty good but probably sold by now not sure on what ill need to do it, do you know exactly what? is it right that you cant run the stock turbos because it hits the steering column? im a fan of the 6 speed so i am on the lookout for a getrag tranny either v160 or v161 but arent too easy to come by, maybe im just looking in the wrong place haha thanks though

im interested in doing this in the next half year or so but im not sure on what exactly ill need. the engine of course and a new gearbox but how does everything else go across? will need new engine mounts? and loom? does anyone got any info on the swap? or know of any detailed accounts of the swap on any other websites? thanks!

im getting my rear bumper resprayed in thornleigh next week for 100 bucks but that probably wont help because you're in melbourne and they may have to do more considering the damage is deep?

the gearbox is noisy i know but i believe his problem is actually his diff. they seem to loosen up and if you dont ease the clutch right off then itll make a clunk sound when putting it into the next gear. drive it and put it into 3rd or 4th gear and then put the clutch in, change gears and then without accelerating let the clutch out fast. the car will probably jerk a bit and youll hear this clunk. if so then itll be your diff and there isnt anything to worry about, my car has been the same since i got it (same specs as yours) and its never failed on me, just a bit noisy between gears. hope this helps!

hey guys, i came across this picture on the IS picture thread on jdmstyletuning and well im just wondering what rear bar it is, in the thread someone said it was a chargespeed rear bar minus diffuser but supposably that looks like this i see the similarity so would you think its just modified? thanks

try trading post, i scored a bumper off there for 70 bucks back when a kangaroo decided to jump in front of my car :P they also have a lot of cars getting wrecked so it could be your best bet!

lexus is200 stock stereo, comes with stock amp and original brackets for mounting in car. $250 or make an offer, in pretty much perfect condition, some wear on FM button. but not too bad. located in sydney, near hornsby. can ship but at the cost of buyer.

I recently took out the factory stereo from my 1999 is200 sports luxury and am wondering what i would have to do to make it usable in cars other to my own, do i need to unlock it? unlock codes or something? thanks heaps.

I'm 16 and getting my provisional license in 3 weeks from today i just bought a 1999 lexus is200 sports luxury in gunmetal grey its my first car and im very stoked about it. im looking to replace the stock headunit with a pioneer DEH-3100UB i bought a few months ago anyone know where i can get a new fascia plate that will fit it perfectly? thanks!
