so im getting fitted tomorrow Had confirmation from lexus you can put 235's on the front no hassles, plus the 235 are heaps easier/cheaper to get than 225's... so im booked in for 2 x 235 fronts (yoka's) and 2 x 245 rears (yoka's) and 4 wheel alignment for $880inc GST... they reckon their a medium compound tyre, so will be quiet and good for at least 35k... happy days!

so i just got off the phone with lexus they said stick to standard, dont go away from the stock fitment...

background info: i'm talking about a 2006 IS250 SL here with the 17x8" rims can you fit a 245 tyre on the front rims? the stock 225's have worn the inside edge quite bad due to the way a 225 stretchs over the 8" rim... the rears are 245 and look much more natural and have worn far better than the fronts... steering alignment was a concern but I had it checked & its to factory specs... so im thinking of putting 245's on all way round, this way I can rotate them also... does this sound reasonable? some tyre shops are telling me yes, others are saying no it will rub... your thoughts?

thanks for the reply, im heavily leaning towards the 400h simply due to future. we will probably keep this one for 5+ years and over that time on my calculations we will save about $4k in fuel alone. I'll be test driving tomorrow at this stage...

hey guys i have a is250 SL and i love the quality, now im looking at buying an rx350 for my wife. however ive started to come across a few rx400h's in the same/similar price range. logically i should probablly go fo rthe 400 rather than the 350SL as its going to cost less in the long term. im looking at late 2007 early 2008 models, is there anything I should be looking out for on the RX400h? Thanks in advance...

I came from a 6L VE so im not treating it with much respect... Mine travels on the highway at around 6L to 6.5L per 100km then around town the worst damage I do is around 10.5L per 100kms... As I said, my average for the car for life is 8.8L so far and getting better as the engine free's up more...

Sports Lux (30,000km) average since new 8.8L per 100k (Lease paperwork keeps every fuel docket and km's and gives an average life to date)

It broke again :( Its getting a replacement computer at the same time as its 30k service... (2 weeks time) Hoping Lexus can bail me out and cover it under warranty, fingers crossed... Will let you know...

Just a straight discount? Or was there a fleet discount etc involved? Im not getting anywhere near 8k on a SL model... The colour of my money is good... Lexus of Brisbane have been a number of things, condescending, arrogant, untruthful, deceitful & plain rude... Lexus service on the other hand is brilliant, helpful, honest, charming & plain fantastic... I cant win :( At the moment I'm honestly looking at other cars now, Lexus don't want my repeat business it seems...

just post the price no need to scan it... as for the corp discount i got this on the IS250 but found a mate who actually paid less and he was just a walk in off the street sale... i guess it comes down to stock, salesman, salesman's budget & ease of the deal...

define "discount" lexus of Brisbane are not negotiating at all im holding out til next year when their ready to deal

its a great car no doubt... im happy again, but a little disappointed at the same time... next time its gonna cost big bucks if it happens again... also bad luck comes in three's and on Friday I got my first ticket in over 9 years :( so now im wondering what the third thing is going to be? Fire maybe?
