  1. Hi, Im no expert but a car of this caliber should not be causing this kind of a problem. It appears that the default idle speed is too low (500 rpm), could be a faulty sensor. It could be the default idle speed needs to be re-calibrated. As you mentioned that when it is idling a bit higher it is fine. Either way, I dont think it will rectify itself and if it does, it will come back as it ages. As I said Im no expert but, you should be firm in having it rectified. As a car of this caliber, it is not good enough and it is not normal. good luck :)
  2. Also some one in the industry told me that 91RON is a dirtier fuel and will eventually clog the system. So you will have to run some kind of fuel additive on a regular basis if you want to maintain the efficiency of the system. Depending on how many kilometers you do in a year, it might be more economical to buy the better quality fuel.
  3. could just be a thermostat. any mechanic or Auto elec should be able to sought it out. First of all is yours an electric or a hydraulic fan? If it is a hydraulic fan, then it runs off the power steering pump oil pressure. There is a solenoid valve that controls how much pressure is released into the line. This is control by a cooling fan ECU. To fault find it can become complex. eg pressure lines have to be checked for correct flow rates. Someone who repairs power steering should be able to check for this. Really you may require the services of a professional. Here is an extract from the services manual - In this system, the cooling fan ECU controls the hydraulic pressure acting on the hydraulic motor, thus controlling the speed of the cooling fan steplessly in response to the condition of the engine and air conditioning. Hope this gives some insight. Cheers
