  1. Hey awesome Lexus owners! I thought, why not start a new topic here where we can talk about great driving road in Australia, like Top Gear (TV show) went on and searched for amazing road in world...I am sure that we have some brilliant road in Australia... I am wondering where is a truly epic Australian road. A road that has the best combination of twists, turns, flat out straights, climbs, descents ,decent scenery, the lots! I drove my IS200 on Great Ocean Road in Victoria, it was amazing! I even managed to turn my tires from those hard braking, also wonderful view when driving along on Great Ocean Road...I recommend you guys to go on this road. I know that some road in Tasmania and NSW is wonderful and always been itching myself to go there and have a go in my car.... Let talk about and share our experiences on these road that you heard or actually drove on it here! :)
  2. Haha! Man, i might b able to get a hold of some. I have an is sitting in a scrap yard that caught on fire. It has the 4 rims and spare. I dono if i can jus go get parts from it but ill be oganising it all tomorrow. So ill let u know then! If not, have a look round. there are some for sale. check nengun.com They have a gold pair for sale.

U dont happen to know of any places that sto...

  3. Hey mate, Oh I am looking for those wheels...you want to sell? I live in Southern Eastern of Melbourne.

  4. ey mate. those rims are stock 215/45 ZR 17 is200 or tezza wheels. Where bouts from Melbourne ru from?!?!

  5. If you can't afford coilovers, start saving :P j/k If you just want to lower the car cheaply, go for king springs, but it might reduce ride quality. An alternative you could have a look at tein s-tech springs, might cost a bit more though. Hahaha yea, might be nice tho! Ah tein S-tech springs...What about H&R springs? As i found on some website about it. They sound good too. What do you think?
  6. Ah yep, Coilovers sound good for my car indeed. What if I can't afford for coilovers and there are springs available, like Kings one should be do the job okay or what? By the way, thanks for this IS forum Yep, I will make sure that I will check with wheels shop one day for sure.
  7. Say, I want to lower my car a bit to improve handling, 30mm will be enough for me, and get Lexus factory wheels or custom wheels that is 17 inch x 7 inches or 8 inches wide will be great? Would 18 inches x 8 inches be able to fit it? That can improve the handling well, along with some strut braces, sway bars and/or a set of coilovers right?
  8. It really depends on a few factors. The factory 17inch wheels I think are 17inches by 7inches (i.e. 17x7) 18 inch wheels that are 8 inches wide would have more surface area and therefore more road contact. Personally I think the factory setup Lexus has is pretty good, if you want better handling try looking at strut braces, sway bars and/or a set of coilovers. ;) Ah yep, that sound cool... 18 inch wheels with 8 inches wide? Will it fit and handle well without stratching the tyres or car parts. Considering I like to go around corner fast as i want...on those great roads Yep, I would like to get the those parts for handling later.
  9. Different tire's will give different grip, depends on what type of driving you want to do. Wider wheels would mean more grip due to more surface area in contact with the road. Edit: Wider as in the width of the wheel. Ah yep, the wider wheels is, the better grip right? So 17inch will be better over 18inch for driving right? Cheers
  10. To add from previous post, I am just curious what will give the best grip with Lexus IS200, because I sometimes like to drive my car on great road such as Great Ocean Road in Victoria or West/East coast in Tasmania. I just want to know what size will give me the great grip for such roads, Any opinions will be appreciated. Thanks VB

  12. Hey all, what is best option for IS200 when it comes to new wheels, does 17 inch deliver better handling, grip over 18 inch or 18 inch is good for grip or what? Thanks VB
