  1. Hello All The battery on my IS went flat over night. I have done the initializing on the power windows but waht happens now is the the drivers fron window winds up as normal but then winds back down 40mm after it has reached the top. Has anyone had this happen to them before? Cheers
  2. I have found with slotted rotors there is a speed related droaning noise under braking. Has anyone heard this? I have realised that the increased braking performance gained by using these rotors is no compensation for the resulting noise. IMO There is no denying that they look better though!!
  3. I recently replaced my front pads and rotors. I went for ebc blacks. I think they call them ultimax. I wouldn't recommend them. Black by name, black by nature. Wheels started to turn black on the way back from the car wash. They do stop well though. With the rotors, They are the same for Aurion so check out the price for Aurion rotors. The part numbers are different but the rotors are the same. There is another toyota model that takes the same one too but I cant remember which one it is. The reason im letting you know this is that maybe because they are for a lexus, You might be paying a premium. Has anyone tried the GCT's. Are they cleaner? Cheers Darren
  4. here tis http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=+Lexus+IS250+Lower+Rear+Spoiler+&_sacat=See-All-Categories cheers

  10. After getting blown away by the Lexus Australia price of the lip( around 8fiddy)I was on ebay uk the other night. I managed to get a new genuine one, delivered to my door for $450. I thought that was pretty reasonable Cecil
  11. The unit arrived as promised with the specific lexus patch lead. A few problems with the emulation. For people doing it themselves, the easy way for the emulation to begin is to have the ignition on, the unit in program mode and then connect the unit to the car and bingo:lol: the beeping starts and away you go. I mounted the unit by making a bracket and then attached it to the two M6 studs that hang down above the glovebox. This way I could the earth the unit which is what the makers have suggested is the best way. This reduces the chances of earth loops which could cause noise. The glovebox itself needs to be removed to gain access to the studs. I am totally happy with the product. I have used various aftermarket systems before with ipod controllers fitted, namely Pioneer's AVIC and Eclipses AVN6000 and this is every bit as good if not better for sound quality and ease of use. I highly recommend it Purchased from Advanced Ice Part no SL2i - L Price, $305 delivered. I have a parts business. I can purchase for you and send it to you if that would save you any money Cheers Darren
  12. I actually took the panels out yesterday and up close I can see the slither of veneer on the plastic. It still doesnt change my mind about the "wood". If someone has the sport and wants to add some luxury to their ride, we may be able to do a swap. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love the car to bits, Just not the centre console bit. I guess its more the colour than anything. I hope I havent offended anyone as that was not my intention. Cheers all Darren
  13. Are you for real? Goodness me, I thought it was fake. well maybe i will see it in a different light now:D thanks for letting me know Darren
  14. Hi All As you know I have just purchased my Is250 and unfortunately it came standard with the fake wood in the middle and on the doors. I know this is a stupid question but does anyone with a sport want to do a swap( i said it was stupid) or has anyone got any other ideas for toning it down a bit Cheers
  15. FYI, I purchased the SL2i - L today from advanced ice. They promised me I would have it tomorrow (friday 12/11) I will fit it as soon as it arrives so I will keep you posted on developments. Cheers Darren
  16. Without wanting to offend you, i would have to say no. I do like the IS F ones though. With the ones on your car, I think its just that the rear bar is not shaped right for them. But, its all about what you like. Cheers Cecil
  17. Your "is2fiddy" will look a treat when its done. Dont forget to keep us in the loop throughout your modifications with pictures. I personally am interested in the blacking out the headlights mod. Please let me know how you get on with splitting the headlamps in half Good luck with the personalisation Darren
  18. I have tried Eibach themselves. Is there places around that specialize in our cars . Who Knows, they might have a set in the back corner of their parts room. Any chances of some names? I wouldn't know where to start. edit, I have just ordered the springs from the States. AUD372 delivered which is just short of $200 cheaper than I could get them from over here. I got them off ebay if anyone else is interested Cecil
  19. Hi All Well, i have fitted the pedders lowered springs with a terrible result. front 350 from centre of hub to gaurd rear 325 " " " " " " Looks absolutely crap. I am ordering eibach springs, Only one problem...... None available for 7 weeks in Australia. Has anyone had any luck ordering from the States? Darren
  20. HI all I have read this section with great interest. Im thinking of lowering mine by about 1 inch. Has anyone else done this? I have fitted 18s to the car and I am happy with the ride quality. What I am concerened about is loosing ride quality with lowering it. Also, I know to some cars fitting sway bars changes the handling heaps and makes the cars so much more predictable. This was true for my Subaru Liberty. The rear bar was hollow originally. From your experiences is it a worthwhile upgrade for the IS250 or just a waste of cash. Sorry about all the questions Cecil
