  1. Hi Jung, the clutch was from Australian Clutch Services (ACS) here in Adelaide, i didnt notice that much difference,it was just a standard replacement, with solid flywheel, the pedal actually felt lighter than before. Apart from being lowered its a fairly standard car. Thansk Adam.
  2. Hi all just had the clutch replaced in the missus is200, i went for the solid flywheel conversion kit, which was half the price of the dual mass, and dont really notice much difference. I took the car to mechanic round the corner from work, who has a good reputation, anyway they did it in four hours, which is alot quicker than i was expecting. So all up it was under $1500.00, drive in drive out, although i supplied the clutch kit which i got at trade price, which is included in that $1500. Cheers Adam.
  3. Hi all I posted a question a while back about a clunking noise in the left hand rear of my wifes IS 200 when changing gears, as it turns out it was the rear wheel bearing, pulled it apart and pressed new bearing in, they are a double bearing in a single casing about 50mm wide, and put it all back together on old castor & camber marks, took for a test drive and clunking was gone but drove a bit funny, so straight down to get wheel alignment and it only had 12mm positive toe! now she drives great and straight.Happy wife = happy life. Adam.
  4. hi i have brokne antenna on my is200, and hve seen the stubbie type on ebay and just wanted to know if they any good or not? cheers adam
  5. Hi yes i would say it was definatley something to do with diff or rear drive shaft rather than just gearbox, someone just told me they have a different car with manual and IRS and that does it too. Thanks to both who replied. Cheers adam
  6. Hi yep you notice it more going from first to second, and some times other gears or when back off throttle. Cheers Adam
  7. Hello, ive just joined this forum and it looks to be quite helpful. I bought the missus a 99 IS200 sports luxury manual, a few months ago.It has a bodykit, and been lowered by about 2", black with black rims, and we are both very impressed with it. There is one issue that we have and that is that when changing gears there is a clunk coming from the back, of the vehicle. i had it up on a hoist and the only thing that has any movement from what i could see is where the drive shaft goes into the diff on the left hand side. Is this a common problem and how can this be fixed?? Cheers Adam
