Hi could some IS350 owners/experts please help me with a couple of questions as I'm keen to buy a 2nd hand one to replace my 07 RX350: 1. are the front and rear wheel different size? Some websites say so, some say same size f+r 2. is there some generally accepted 'real' figure for acceleration to 100kmh from standstill? I had thought it was around 5.9 seconds, but read a Wheels mag review for the newer model (which seemed to be same weight, etc) which said 6.9 or so 3. is there any difference in exhaust between F sport and Luxury models? many thanks Satz

Hi Lexo, yes I think that happens on mine too. If I have the number saved, then it does show up even while the car's moving. But I don't think it displays unsaved numbers unless it's stopped. I could be wrong, as I don't get many calls in the car :(

Agree with Poisson, the only voice commanding I can get my 07 RX350 to do is to dial prerecorded 'shortcut' numbers. On a related note, I'm still irritated by Lexus not allowing even the incoming call number to show up while the car is in motion. At least then you could decide whether or not to answer a call...

Quietest Tyres For Rx350?

Thanks Lexo. I'll probably narrow down the choice to the two Bridgestone tyres... -
General Public Perception On Lexus?
satz replied to JUZBLAZE's topic in General Lexus Discussions Forums
And the others are glorified "other-model" Toyotas! Except perhaps the IS range. I can't think of any Toyota rwd. I do accept my RX350 is a glorified Toyota Harrier, but that's a good base to start from anyway! :) -
General Public Perception On Lexus?
satz replied to JUZBLAZE's topic in General Lexus Discussions Forums
most comments I get relate to it being a 'toyota with more stuff'....which is not such a bad thing really. My own perception of Lexus is that it is an old person's car!!! oh no...perhaps I am one now :) -
hi all I have an 07 RX 350 completely unmodified...at this stage. Reasonably happy with the car, except that I find the handling/suspension quite soft and uninvolving for a driver. I know that's how they designed it, but I wonder if anyone has improved their own suspension at all? Not looking at dropping the car drastically, maybe a max of 10-20mm. But I'm really after a stiffer though not uncomfortable ride. Kinda like a BMW! cheers Satz

Tyres Have Suddenly Started Rumbling
satz replied to satz's topic in General Lexus Discussions Forums
The tyre shop stated that it had to be the bearing. So, armed with that knowledge, approached my Lexus Service mgr again and this time got him to get a good mechanic to drive it. He confirmed it was one of the front bearings that had worn. Replaced under warranty and it seems fine now! Still surprising that the bearing went after just 60,000 km. I don't think I've ever replaced a bearing on any of my previous cars! S -
Have you looked at www.tirerack.com? It's a great website (US based) but has plenty of options for narrowing down the tire search to your exact model. Then you can sort by customer reviews, etc. I bought some Yokohama Parada Spec X, just based on the reviews on that site, and other sites. They seem okay. No noisier than other tyres on most surfaces. Good grip in the wet. Haven't tried them in snow! Satz

Faulty Electric Lumbar Adjustment
satz replied to kashiwa_0423's topic in Lexus RX330 / RX350 / Toyota Harrier Club
It could be something as simple as the cable behind the switch has come loose (fingers crossed) Did the lumbar support just 'die' or was it getting slower/noisier over a period of time? Satz -
Remote Window/sunroof Operation
satz replied to BH93's topic in Lexus RX330 / RX350 / Toyota Harrier Club
My 07 RX350 actually did open all windows AND sunroof via the remote. However I asked the dealer to reprogram it so only the windows open. Too much of a hassle to close everything after a few minutes! Wasn't able to set it so that only the front windows opened. I'm curious to know whether you were able to change the way the tilt and slide switches worked? thanks S -
Tyres Have Suddenly Started Rumbling
satz replied to satz's topic in General Lexus Discussions Forums
update: took the RX back to Bob Jane's where I bought the four tyres in Dec. They rotated them front to back but the noise was still the same. Then they suggested doing a 4-wheel alignment. I didn't do this when I bought the tyres. Anyway...after the wheel alignment the noise is still there. Perhaps slightly better. They claim it will go as the tyres wear evenly (in 6 months or so!!!) Ridiculous. Of course Yokohama Australia didn't respond to my email 3 days ago... I still don't know whether there's a structural fault with one of the tyres -
hi all any ideas what would cause fairly new tyres on my RX350 (2007 model) to start rumbling? Rumbling starts almost from 1km/h and gets louder as the car gets faster. Like I'm driving on truck tyres or very chunky-tread tyres, which these aren't. The tyres have done about 3,500km since I fitted them new in Dec. No offroad driving. Yokohama Parada Spec X, which although are SUV tyres, are still supposed to be pretty quiet. In fact they were nice and quiet until literally this week! I could this noise started overnight virtually. Checked each tyre for stones, tar or nails but couldn't see anything. Tyre pressures are even and the wear seems pretty even. Slight feathering on the outer edges of each front tyre. Googling this problem revealed it might be tread separation! Booked in to get the tyres checked next week, but was hoping for some ideas... cheers Satz

hi lizzie have you tried Lexus spare parts? They were listed in the 2007 brochure as an 'option'. My 350 came with them, but I removed them as one was slightly cracked cheers Satish

hi howie how did you remove the armorall from your dash? also..to anyone buying a dash mat, remember to ensure that it has a cutout for the climate control/lights sensor which is towards the passenger end of the dash at the edge of the windscreen. A friend of mine recently bought a dashmat for his 07 Range Rover and I could clearly see that the sensor was hidden under the mat! :)

New Rx-350 Questions
satz replied to aussieguy1's topic in Lexus RX330 / RX350 / Toyota Harrier Club
regarding the tailgate, mine operates exactly as you described. Takes 3 separate key presses! First to unlock drivers, then second to unlock all doors, and finally to release the tailgate! bit annoying if you just want to put something in the boot. Dealer wants to charge for any changes to the programming of the car :(
