Just been quoted $1100 plus to replace the PCS ECU (2006 IS250 Sports Luxury) . Car only done 38000km but outside of warranty period and been told it wont be covered by Lexus factory at all. Suggestions on where I can get one? Also, can anyone suggest any good independent brake shops in Perth familiar with Lexus.

Short-lived optimisim! Unfortunately lasted for a day but then VSC error light came back on. Did the battery thing again and it was off for about 40 minutes then back on. Is it the same ECU that controls the VSC and PCS sensors?? Any other suggestions? Dud

2006 IS250 Sports Luxury Some 3 months ago I drove on a dirt road and after about 15 minutes the PCS sensor warning came on. Checked no issue with the radar detector and finally took it to Lexus (Perth) who said the ECU was faulty and would be about $1k fitted and elected not to have that done. On Tuesday I went on the same dirt road and lo and behold the PCS sensor warning went away and cruise control etc back to normal operation. Today, out of the blue, the VCS sensor warning is now illuminated. Is there anyway to re-seat the ECU in case it is just a loose connection and if so where is it located? Or any other suggestions?? thanks Dud

It started behaving itself again but still only a couple of satellites being seen. Will check the antenna comnnection first now I know where it is. thanks for the advice.

Thanks for response Danslex. Definitely on established roads. Did the menu thing and its not seeing any Satellites - not looking forward to what that cost will be!!

I recently bought a 2006 IS250 Sports Luxury. The GPS navigation worked fine initially but then has intermittently been showing the car as being in a different location. It now does not seem to know where the car is at all. I tried ejecting the DVD (Software Rev12) and re-loading but that has not done anything to fix the problem. As an aside and likely unrelated the door sill "Lexus" symbol also no longer is illuminated when the door is opened. Suggestions?? thanks Andrew
