From memory, the lowest cruise speed (in 4th or above) is 47km/h.

07 SL. Cruise control does not work in third or lower gears, i.e. you can't turn cruise on in these gears, and if its already on, if you drop down into these gears it will cut out. Pretty sure our Toyota does the same. Presumably a safety feature as you would be travelling slower with more traffic around you.

Sounds like an informed decision. I recently signed up for extended warranty so I'm locked into Lexus servicing for another few years... Currenty at ~44K km...

Lex, reasons why you didn't take it to Lexus for the service?

Was it a private sale? Did you pay SL prices for an optioned Prestige? You could have a case for false advertising here... Though buyer beware is the old adage...

Just started noticing it this week. Definately an odd eggy smell. Was hitting redline-ish in a couple of gears so thrashing it a little. No company in the car, so not as embarrassing as a single bloke with a hot date might find it.

Lexus IS250SL, 2007 model Recently had a rattle at head height on the drivers side pillar. Lexus checked it out, said it was old door seals, and applied a lubricant of some kind which fixed it. When I went to test drive it, I heard a new rattle in the dash - sounded like it was the air vent issue mentioned in this thread. I was told that there was no obligation for lexus to fix it under warranty. Took a bit of convincing, but they managed to get it looked at under warranty. Couple of days later and the job was done. I was told the fix was to be a foam insert in the dash, but the service report mentioned clips I think..... Anyway, car is now quite again.

Car Wash Cafe in Mosman had a Ferrari F430 getting done last time I was there... I gave them an 8.5/10 for the job on my Lexus....

I have 2007 model, and it doesn't sound like that. I do have a loud whirring sound, but i think that is the injectors (?)
