  1. Your right bluey, it hasn't made a significant difference, unfortunately I sold the old 16 inch wheels ,initially I assumed that it was due to the worn tyres that came on the 17 s so wasn't expecting to need to do any diagnosing because the car tracked like a dream on the 16 s
  2. Hi guys I have recently purchased a set of genuine 17inch sport luxury wheels and fitted them to my 08 is250. I also fitted brand new staggered Pirelli P7 Cintaurato tyres. My problem is the car now constantly pulls left and my steering wheel needs to be to he right to compensate for the pull. If I take my hands off the wheel the car will literally just run off the road to the left. I have had an alignment at both bob Jane and jax who both said it is within tolerance , end of story. Any ideas would be much appreciated, would an alignment at a Lexus service centre with alignment facilities help? Is it unrealistic to think they have a secret up their sleeve or should I just flush that hundred down the toilet right now lol
  3. Just had the prorack fitted at altapac in Newcastle , so much quieter and much better fit than rola, very happy
  4. I just had one fitted at fast fit at leichardt , $550 drive away in 2 hours, not a bad job, exhaust vibrates slightly against it when sitting in park with engine running though so check that before you drive off
  5. Whatever you do don't buy Rola racks, I did and they are extremely noisy, I have been recommended pro rack which have a crossbar they call whispabar, which is supposed to be much quieter, there is also a demonstration and pic of is250 on their website. I am considering changing to the prorack bar myself for some peace and quiet.
  6. hi guys i had a similar quote but i think it was up around $900, i ended up doing the job myself, the rotors on my 08 are actualy off a 2010 camry and cost about $100 each and pads to fit were about $75 a pair from memory. Im no mechanic and it took me about an hour, very easy job and saved a bucket load of money....
  7. i just had the same quote from my local mechanic $450 for plugs,$150 to install, i ended up buying all 6 densos from the US on ebay for about $75 and $20 postage and put em in myself in about 40mins,joke....
  8. I also had to replace mine at 40K, for front only i think lexus wanted about $1000, aftermarket brake place wanted $550, i ended up buying rda aftermarket rotors and pads for about $240 and did it myself, happy days. Mine is also an 08 model and the rotors are the same as current model camry.
