  1. Hi guys My car is up for its 150k service. Got a quote from Melbourne City Lexus for $1.3k. Apparently it's a major service. Considering the car's high k's, I'm thinking of taking it outside the lexus dealer. Anyone know any place / can recommend? I couldn't find much info for independent Lexus mechanics in Melbourne.
  2. Hi guys Had a look at xenonsupply.com and saw the following 2 products. Would anyone be able to tell me the difference? http://www.xenonsupply.com/lexus-is-hid-xenon-kit.html http://www.xenonsupply.com/lexus-is-hid-xenon-package.html One is $89.99 and the other is $129.99. The more expensive one has the "premium" Ballast. Do you guys think it's worth it or the $89.99 will be fine. If anyone has recently bought a kit from ebay, can you please recommend the ebay seller? Thanks in advance Cheers J
  3. Just installed the kit last night. Very happy! I bought the kit in December last year - but had to go overseas so couldn't install it then. Last night, took me just over an hour to complete the installation. The hardest part was trying to remove the inner door panels. I couldn't do it (was too scared I was going to snap something) - but in the end, I did the installation without completely removing the panels. :) (I had to extend the wire from the kit though, as it wasn't long enough for me). All I did was removed one section of the door panel and unclipped the wire harness that goes to the door handle sensor. Pulled that out and then worked with it. Worked first time! The only odd thing was, after installation, the driver window wouldn't "auto" up/down for me. I had to keep pressing the button until the window was fully up/down. I just played around with it a while (going up/down a few times) and then the "auto" kicked in. It's back to normal again. That's 2 mods to the car so far: 1. Replaced all lights with white LEDs 2. Auto mirror open/close I know.... these are simple ones, but that's all I'm capable of :) Next up, I think HIDs Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know how easy this kit was to install. Thanks Michael! Cheers
  4. What do you guys think of this price? I got a quote from GoodYear Autocare to install Bendix CT brake pads for $170. (I'm not even sure how much the brake pads are on it's own). And I'm assuming $170 is per brake pad? so changing the front set would be $340. Thinking about doing this to reduce the brake dust.
  5. Hi guys First time posting here :) Keep up the good work. Great forum and very informative! This Kit looks great. I was just wondering, would installing this void any car warranty? (I bought my IS250 from Lexus dealer and still have a year or so on the warranty). Thanks!
