  1. Hey guys, Ive recently bought a set of f-sport springs and read somwehere that Lexus themselves fit them quite cheaply. Having my car already sitting, waiting in the parramatta centre for parts I thought that they would throw me an irresistable deal-to fit the springs as well- bearing in mind that I had an $8.5k job with them for the same vechile in process. Instead this guy tells me that it will cost me an extra $550 at "service" rates. I found this quite unreasonable due to the fact I had coilovers instaleld on my old euro for half that. Was hoping that you guys could shed some light on the topic and either tell me what it should cost or redirect me to some cheaper alternatives. i.e.local shops etc...
  2. lol so that means sport lux's have autol headlights? Ive never even noticed them on mine
  3. Which intake kit is that mate? looking to get my hands on a set myself but it looks like theres none outside of the us.
  4. I assume your mum's got at least one other car insured with NRMA (otherwise, she wouldn't have been entitled to the multi-policy discount prior to your acquiring the IS 250). If you don't drive the other car, one way to even lower your overall costs is:1. Get the NRMA policy transferred from the other car to the IS 250. The policy number should remain the same, so you will be still entitled to the years of insurance discount.2. Search for the best quote available for insuring the other car. It no longer needs to be NRMA in order to keep the discounts on the home and contents insurance, and the premium can be lower if you don't drive the other car. Ye nah the other car is her actual car. having said that though I could find her a better deal anyway bearing in mind that she is the sole driver on that car.
  5. You'd be suprised how many by default have the exlusion "no under 25 year-old drivers will be covered under this policy" on the first page of online apps. Looked at a couple of insurers and I'm leaning towards NRMA atm. Pretty flexible in the sense that you can +/- insured value as well as +/- excess paid which adjusts your premium accordingly. It covers all drivers, you just pay an extra 1600 on top of the excess as an age penalty. In addition to this my mums got a couple of policies with them so it gives a disc. Price is 1500 p.a for standard market value and excess. thanks guys
  6. Hey just needed some help with insuring an 07 prestige with emv. For personal reasons the car must be under my mothers name From some brief searching I've noticed some policies wont cover in the event that an under 25 year-old is driving at the time of accident. What then would be my best choice if the policy would be under my mothers name but would also cover any under 25year old drivers not listed on the policy. I am happy to pay an inflated excess if an under age driver was driving at the time of accident. Sorry for the stupid question guys but my last car was an accord euro and I found no point in covering it comprehensively.
  7. helloooooo Just picked up an 07 Prestige Is250 in graphite with the EMV pack. Very low k's and its the grey/white leather interior i wanted so I'm pretty happy. Last 4 cars I've had are Honda's so its gonna be a bit of a change. I am a p-plater so definitely keen on some advice Looking to do some light mods, looking forward to getting into au.lexusownersclub. Very interested in parts so let me know what you guys got Cheers
