  5. Hey dude u have a pic ofna white lex with a f badge where did u get the f badge from ?

  6. Sorry for grammar and how much text but inhale to ok guys quick story kinda, i got a Libs 2.5i early 2010 its the pre face lift version, i looked after it babyed the car, checked oil consumption every 2k and did all the services, around the 20k kms i was coming back and got a engine warning light, rand dealer they said in 48hours it will self correct, it did, then in another 2k kms i get another engine warning light, in the mean time still checking oil levels, again ring they say it shuld self correct again, off i keep going then about 1k kms i heard a nocking noise and took it in right away to my local dealer and they take it in for a service to their surprise they find that i had done a big end bearing???? i asked what would cause this they tell me no oil, ok where is the oil, they tell me its gone, i said wtf i check it every 2k kms and it always showed, they under warranty replace the bottom end and part of the to end, and they said i had to run the motor in again, all good off i go, did a oil consumption test so for the next 6k kms i took the car in every 2k kms and they pull the oil out replace it and check the usage, the test came back 100000000% of no excuse oil usage, off i go again, still checkn oil every 2k kms as usual, i had a couple of times when checking that it would not bring back any oil (i rang local dealer and they tell me to drive 1 hour home with what i was believing of having no oil so they can check for me) and babying the motor in again, all was fin until another 10k to 11kkms when i get another knocking noise, i park it at home ring my local dealer and tell them again, between the last replacement and the new knocking noise the car was in for a scheduled service, they again tell me that the big end bearing has gone again, again i say WTF but this time alot louder and i get alot more meaner this time (using alot of swear words and anger), they again pull the motor out and send parts of it this way that away get the head guy for service to come and check the car and the motor, they deam it as warranty issue and that brings me to today, i got a call yesterday well i called then and abused them of not calling me in 2 weeks with a update and say that its being replaced again, and i will again have to baby it, i am asking any of yous guys out there what should i do, im only 22 years old and this was my first car of some what value $37k, should i go to fair trading and see what i can do as a consumer (i work in retail so i know the consumer rights) i simply have lost all faith in Subaru and my car i do not want it back and have the hassle of going through all this again, first time it happened i was left to fend for my self with no leaner car second time i arced up and was told no loaner car for a month, got my father involved and i was given a 2011 outback with in 48 hours [(have to love Italian fathers)if i had a family i so would buy one they are so comfortable and have power ] they have not assured me that this will not happen again, the problem i face know is when i go to sell which is as soon as i get it back u only will have to do a revs check and to see that the engine number has changed now three times :( this will lose me millions in resale, it only has 42k kms on the clock and is in mint condition, no scratches garaged every day/night and washed for 2 hours every 4 days. please some one advise what direction i should take...... also sorry for spelling mistakes and grammer kinda typing fast
  7. also what inputs does the head unit have?? say USB or anything like that??
  8. ok im, new to the Lexus ranges and so on, can some of you show me pics and answer some questions?? im looking at a 2011 lexus is350 f sport, does it: RFID keyless entry like the ISF?? flip key?? whats the stock sound system like?? exhaust sound?? i know these questions are small details but im just thinking and SH*T bored at work today??
  9. "i wonder if he will let me get stuck into it???" Most probably. " also whats the padle shifting like and jerking or anything," There's no jerking, at all, ever. And that's in my 250. I know the 350 will have a LOT more acceleration but like all Lexus' it comes very smoothly, and then you realise you're going quite fast... Although on the paddle shift, it isn't really a true semi automatic (or manumatic, if you want to get all technical). It only restrics the maximum gear the maximum gear the car will use. So for example if you put it in 4, it will use 1-4 depending on how fast you're going. So it's not the same as what you get in BMW's but to be honest will work just as well. Overtaking is effortless, downshifting down takes an instant and then you're off. It's also very very handy for engine braking down hills when the car in front rides the brakes the whole way down. haha dont talk to me about engine braking, my dealer for my subaru is bitching to me saying that i do to much engine braking, tool , i have had 2 engines replaced in two years, yes two whole complete engines, first engine did a big end bearing due to loss of 5l of oil in less then 2k kms, the second engine had the same issue, they tryed blaming me saying i do to much engine braking??? hence im looking at selling the car asap, bring on a LeXuS :) That's rubbish.. engine braking in (good) modern cars won't cause any adverse effects (unless the driver is a clot and redlines it or something). But I can engine brake down a pretty steep hill at only like 2500-3000 rpm and it will prevent any acceleration. PLUS, the Lexus won't let you downshift any further if you are going too fast for that gear. It won't even increase fuel consumption as most new cars will shut off the fuel supply to the engine if it detects engine braking (as i have checked in my IS250 with the instant fuel ecconomy display, drops right to 0 :)) yer well i dont get stuck into it every day most of the time im on the m4 "sydneys biggest carpark" they are just tryn to pin it on me as im only 22 and on green p's, funny thiong is ill take the liberty after i pick it up next week around the corner and see what they will give me on trade in, seeing as they will know the full service history.

  11. Isn't the sti liberty turbocharged? good luck getting an exemption first, and then keeping it. How much longer are you on your p's for? IS350 is more powerful, has more torque and legal for a p-plater to drive....silly rta.... Legal, for now. It would be an expensive purchase if RTA added it to their presently out-of-date list of restricted vehicles. *BLEEP* the Police hahahah nar i got my p's for i believe another 3 months, so i wont be making a real purchase before that it wuld be stupid, just look at and i kringe the FoRd xr6 turbo or the G6 turbo they are like 353kw or somthing and only like $52k hahah, that why i looked at the sti cause by the time i go to buy one ill be on fulls, also this monday booked a test drive for the 2011 350 f sport so ill let you guys know what i think about the lexus, i wonder if he will let me get stuck into it??? also whats the padle shifting like and jerking or anything, currently driving a 2011 subaru outback(loaner from my local subaru dealer)-(my liberty is getting a new motor in it atm) thats paddle and as soon as u change up or down even in high revs no jerking, great fun It's an expensive purchase either way... But I'm sure if one was to purchase it before the RTA added it to their list (and could prove it) then they couldn't be banned from driving it. My brother got his P's two days before they introduced the turbo/super/V>6 rule back in '05 and was able to drive anything legally.
  12. hmmmm ok ill go look at the 350, cause i was also looking at the new sti lib its like 18k less in price
