Hello ! my 1993 UCF10 lexus has an engine noise. The car doesnt get driven much If i leave it for more than a month , and then start it , there is a tapping from the engine like a loose tappet , accompanied by rough running ! The noise goes away after about 10 seconds , and the engine becomes smooth If the car sits for about 5 days , then i start it - no problem , only very slight roughness , but no noise ! I am running castrol 15w - 40 oil - have been for 13 years , but prob has only started recently at 308,000k someone suggested using 10w 30 oil and nulon E20 modern engine treatment any ideas ? thanks , Murray Mules

94 Lexus LS400 noise on start up.
hello , i own a 94 Lexus UCF10. i dont drive the car much. When it sits for about a month or more , and is started there is a clacking noise from the top of the engine like a loose tappet accompanied by rough running. After about 5 seconds everything is good. i have been running a 15w 40 castrol mineral oil. Someone has suggested to use 10w 30 oil and nulon E20 modern engine treatment . The car has done 308,000 k . Any ideas please as to what the noise is and what to do? , thanks , Murray Mules

Hello out there ! i own a 94 ls400 UCF10 Aust delivered car it has a problem with the right wiper blade hitting the right trim! i have rebushed the articulated link on the arm and also taken the rubber stop off the passenger wiper that the drivers wiper rests on when it parks , and also moved the drivers wiper down slightly - but it still hits the trim most of the time! i have removed the assembly and inspected it - it looks ok but has some wear in the link - but cant buy any parts for it! any ideas? - thanks = Murray
